I'm just starting to post all the episodes.  Could use feedback on what works and what doesn't.  Here's the playlist so far:

www.youtube.com/view_play_list

It's going to take a little while to get them all converted to smaller files and uploaded.  Eventually there will be a full 4 hr uncut version on my site mikesfreegifs.com.  I went a litlle nuts with the explosions and death scenes (sry if you're delicate).

Bring on ME3.

Well I am sure enjoying it. :) Well done. Gives a real feel for the game and for the characters. My Shep is female so it is nice to see "him".

Tiny criticism, at the very beginning, Shep seems a bit more renegade than as you get into the swing of the other videos. At #5 now.

Thanks for sharing this. Must have been an immense undertaking!

I'd never made a playlist before today,  I just deleted and then readded.  Seems to work now.  Still trying to get 9 up.
I live in Atlanta and if there's a storm anywhere (In the world it seems)  I get regular cut offs screwing with my uploads.  I'll get it done though.  Thx for helping me.

Anyone?  Good episodes, bad episodes.  I still have all the footage so can change them if I need to.

Nice to see someone else making Mass Effect more cinematic than the usual playthrough. Have you considered using FlyCam? It's not the most forgiving of free cameras, but it can give you some unique opportunities in filming ME.

Really? I haven't watched them all yet but I'm seeing a lot of over the shoulder fixed camera.

EDIT: Ah yes, just saw some combat. The pause command might come in useful for you. It made recording a hell of a lot easier for me since it freezes the game but leaves the camera free to move, allowing you time to set up a camera angle without worrying about missing any of the action. You simply pause, move the camera, unpause, pause, move the camera, unpause and it allow you to get seamless close ups or long shots of some events like an enemy falling to the ground. Plus, those triggered events like set explosions can be delayed long enough for you to set up (so long as you're quick on the pause button).

I tried to start slow and add some new effect to each eposode so it seems he gets stronger and stronger.  And to keep the combat scenes from getting stale.

I tried that, but I couldn't get the hang of it.  The scenes kept looking tacked on.  It felt more exciting to me to unhook the camera just after getting Shepard to cover and try to film the scene as it naturally happened.  It feels much more fluid to me.  Although I'll admit if I was doing a paid job I'd have done things alot differently.  My biggest peeve is not being able to move Shepard while the cam is unhooked.  If I could figure that out I'd do the movie over.  But that' just to replace the over the shoulder running scenes.  It'd be nice to have him running by from an angle now and then.
