Seriously, we need a choice of body types.

Sure they are. But as I said, male washboard abs are covered up and not apparent until you take off their clothes. If you really want that eyecandy, guess what else your sacrificing? If the men weren't as muscular, I would be fine with that. So long as he appeared fit enough to wear plate armor and wield a two-handed sword.
Some like it. Some do not.Saibh wrote...
And again, as I said, men complain when their character avatars are too skinny and appear feminine a la JRPG heroes. It is something that they want to see as well. Not everyone. But they would like their heroes to appear masculinely heroic. We would like our heroines to appear femininely heroic.
Bethany is also wearing what appears to be a corset. Wait until you have a picture of a female wearing plate and not trying to flaunt her features.Saibh wrote...
They also had reasonable bust sizes. You can't tell how, er, cheese-gratey a man's abs look like from beneath his armor. You can certainly see how ridiculous woman's bust size is. Also, Bethany isn't exactly holding hers in. I was very pleased with most of the armor and robes in DAO.

The real culprit here is being pigeonholed into one body type.
It's really the height of disingenuity to pretend that this thread is about wanting the women in the game not to be attractive.Bobad wrote...
I'm confused, can sex be used to sell things?, I'm unaware of any previous examples.

I support these boobs. But only if the 10-year span fully allows gravity to take an effect. All that exertion will leave them at hip height, and not quite so round.

In this thread: ProudNegro puts on his serious coat.
Quoting for posterity.

Yes, this much is true and I completely. However, it is just much more noticeable how ridiculous the female body types are in this game. Hence, the thread's rapid spawning..
We just want them too look normal, human.CrookedAsylum wrote...

How about this, everyone starts out at A or B cup, but can go to a plastic enhancement "healer" if they want theirs (or their companion's) enlarged. But its gonna be expensive.

It will get a lock. Which means that someone read it.
And seeing from the unintelligent replies of the pro-enormous side, perhaps they will rethink.
Hmm I'm not too fond of loaded terminology, I don't think they are too big in the screenshots, labelling anyone that is fine with the size as 'pro-enormous' only serves for those who think they are too big to label themselves as pro-normal therefore the group in the right, to give weight to that particular argument, peoples preferences are purely subjective.
Peace

And by that logic we should make all females appear as ogres. Let me tell you, no normal human being is fit to wield a Dragon Age two-hander. The weapons were ridiculously oversized and once again it's a matter of idealized fantasy.
Some like it. Some do not.
To say that all females would prefer Morrigan's size over the current one is just ridiculous.

Okay, I have to say that as a male I find Beth's bongos fine (they're kind of wasted on her though, what with her being my sister and all). But quite obviously, seeing them on every woman (even older women, cough-Wynne-cough) would feel kind of silly.
Also, games that have ridiculously well-endowed women all around tend to feel like an insult to my intelligence.
I think I understand why ladies might want an option for smaller bust. So, I give my support to Anarya.
Also, from now on I am going to name all my threads "Boobs" because, through some mysterious force, such a title exponentially increases the replies they get.

Things? Yes.
Dragon Age games? Nope.
Well unless your into watching barbie dolls dry hump in very ugly undergarments.
If you are into that, then yes, sex can be used to sell a Dragon Age game.
(Sorry I couldn't resist.)
