His pecs are exposed. How is that not as revealing as Bethany?
All I see are more double standards. How disappointing.
I agree the Chasind robes on men are just as revealing as Bethany's outfit. However, they are unique in DA:O. Nothing else male characters wear in that game comes even close to the Chasind robes, whereas females have revealing leather armours in addition to revealing robes.

Those exaggerated washboard abs has nothing to do with natural strength or fitness. They're there for aesthetic reasons.
It's great that you don't need them but that doesn't change the fact that they're still there. The pandering is equal.
It's not equal. To see the abs you need to remove any armour or even clothing. The breasts are visible no matter what you cover them with, especially if they're as large as Bethany's. Also, the fact that male characters have washboard abs doesn't make them unbelievable in the setting and the role they're playing. The same is not true for the female protagonist if she sports the same rack as Bethany does.

That said, I don't think anyone is opposed to the idea of a slider and I believe that is more likely to happen than BioWare changing the current assets. I whined a lot about the unnatural bodies in Dragon Age: Origins and that didn't accomplish much.
I'd say you're wrong with the assumption that slider is more likely to happen. It didn't happen for DA:O, it won't happen for DA2.
The unnatural bodies in DA:O had to do with using the same animation rig (or whatever you call it) on both male and female characters. This isn't the case in DA2.
