I would argue that dark fantasy does not imply realism at all.  It's basically fantasy-noir.  

Apologies bad choice of word. What I was driving at was it not being High fantasy with its idealism and the like. As a matter of interest how do you define Dark Fantasy? I only ask because I realised I don't quite know. I just have a vague and woolly notion of what it entails.

 Ok, the thing with Morrigan & small boobs is that she doesn't need boobs to be sexy, because of her class & style. Not to mention I <3 her ****y & snobbish attitude, always a challenge to go out with someone like that.

 Morrigan doesn't need boobs, the others may do, simple as that. If they're dumb & classy as a pig, without boobs they don't stand a chance  .

Sorry if this may rub some people the wrong way but I just don't get this fixation among our resident fangirls about the size of the DA character breasts. Well its one thing to be able to ask Bioware that they have the abilty to adjust the breast size of the "Hawke" character they are playing with and fine... I can live with that.  But to object to Bethany and any other female character involved in the game just because of how they look in a shirt ?

It's not, and you clearly didn't read the OP. Go do that now. No one is objecting to a woman's presence in the game. Morrigan wore far more revealing clothes than Bethany--and I don't see girls objecting to her character design.

But you did say in your previous reply to me that you want the default size to be less distractingly huge.  Now if you meant the Hawke female model... ok like I said, no problem... Bioware should let you have options.  But if you meant EVERY female character in the game should have their breast size reduced to what you would consider to be an "acceptable average", then hell no.  Last I checked... 70-80% of games not named farmville are played by guys.

That's hilarious, Dragon Age and perfect teeth. We ask that they look respectable as fantasy heroines. People are still scoffing at Bayonetta's ridiculous character model.

You know what? I have NO PROBLEM with Bayonetta's appearance. It fits the game. Bayonetta is ridiculously over-the-top in everything, including fanservice and I'm 100% ok with that. It's tongue-in-cheek and it's what they were going for. It does not fit in Dragon Age.

Maybe, but her body is so out of proportion I can't imagine how anyone finds her beautiful. Those legs, that head...yech.

She's proportioned like a fashion illustration. It is kinda weird but I used to make fashion illustrations all the time so maybe it looks more acceptable to me. Anyway back to DA.

If I were to estimate the boob size of the DA:O models, I'd put it at about a D cup, which is already larger than average. I don't really think this augmentation's necessary for the default (if it's a character specific model, I don't really mind).

Incidentally, the comparison between the male characters being muscular and the female characters having large boobs isn't exactly perfect. Being muscular is good on a practical level as well as an aesthetic level, whereas bigger bra sizes doen't really offer you a tactical advantage when fighting darkspawn, at least, to the point where the reverse is true.

Of course, variation would be awesome, but let's not have slightly ridiculous defaults.

Yuuup. I have minor scoliosis and have to regularly bind my chest if I do any form of an extreme workout. It's frustrating, to say the least, and so I may be biased when it comes to large chested heroines.

ok, things are simple, Bioware needs to keep

C = sexyness+boob size

constant for female characters to be interesting. When the writing team is out of inspiration, they just pump up the boob size, no joke.

Bethany's outfit in the first pic of the OP would enhance anyone's bust, even Hawke's, she's wearing a corset type chainmail, which would likely push up her breasts, you can see the straps on the side.



The blouse she has on looks like what you would see on a stereotypical medievel serving wench, or at Oktoberfest, which enhance the cleavage anyway.

We do like 4 leaps around the school, she does 1...and her boobs going right and left up and down. I am not saying that big boobs are not nice (Christina Hendricks is looking really good) but not for a warrior/rogue...

What's the reason then? The Maker made a gravity exclude big breasts?

I'm so glad someone brought this up. I just saw that first screenshot today, and frankly, the boobage is so epic it was all I saw for a good long while. Now, I'm a great lover of breasts and have no issue with ample bosoms, but to imagine a weapon-wielding adventurer with assets like that makes me feel sorry for the poor lass. Imagine the back trouble! And the discomfort when running! So please, dear BioWare, fix the proportions of (what I assume is) the female model in the game.
