How many gals would buy DA2 if the males were all fat, funny looking dudes? The number is similar to how many guy would buy a game where all the females have "real" proportions.

A lot of people are just insecure when it comes to boobs. A little size and they get all uncomfortable and some start to even feel inadequate. We can't blame them though, they are taught to idolize people with small breasts (super models) and seeing people attracted to larger busts makes them froth at the mouth because their standards of beauty aren't being universally adhered to. They don't want big breast lovers in their 'sophisticated fandom'.

As a connoisseur of large chested women, I say bully to Bioware for going with the bolder and more exciting option. To be fair to the insecure women, I'm perfectly willing to accept larger bulges as a trade off.

sure, it's simply opinion.  Dark fantasy authors sometimes disagree about what dark fantasy is.  In the end you're just classifying a genre and there's really not much point, because every story should stand on it's own, regardless of semantics.  I think the art style DA2 is going for incorporates a lot of what a lot current fantasy fiction is going for (not including stuff like D&D or vampire smut, of course).  Then again, I might be wrong

Hmm I'm not too fond of loaded terminology, I don't think they are too big in the screenshots, labelling anyone that is fine with the size as 'pro-enormous' only serves for those who think they are too big to label themselves as pro-normal therefore the group in the right, to give weight to that particular argument, peoples preferences are purely subjective.

Dude, the same thing has been said many times before; it makes just as much sense to have a female warrior with overly large breasts as it does having a male warrior who is out of shape.

Bethany's boobs would be fine if her body were proportionate to that. They just look ridiculous in there. If that's the default, that would be sad. Wynne's boobs were also not droopy and just as big as everyone else's in regular robes. DAO had perfectly fine boobage, though, older people and Chasind Robes of Breast Enlargement aside. It's okay if they can't make the boob size more varied in the models; what would be helpful is if the average was shrunk down because not only is it wrong (most of the world has a smaller breast size, where breast sizes are applicable; moobs not included), but it just LOOKS funny.



Did you know? Lara Croft's boobs weren't supposed to be as large as they are today; originally a developer was fiddling around and accidentally increased the cg model's to 300%; a higher-up was walking by and said to keep it. Or at least, that's the story I was told.

A big rack and a great rack are not the same thing. Great racks can be any size. Big racks can be unappealing (case in point: peopleofwalmart.com)

Oh come on. So "real" proportions for women (say, an athletic woman with average-sized breasts) are comparable to "fat, funny looking dudes"? That's ridiculous.

As for comments regarding Bethany's assets being fine for mages, I sincerely doubt we'll get several body types to choose from. If we did, that would be great, but I don't see it happening. I'll say it again: boobs the size Bethany is sporting in the screenshot would look (even more) ridiculously out of place on a rogue or a warrior.

People's preferences are subjective, but what is the average breast size can be looked at purely objectively. In America, the average bra size for a Caucasian female is a B cup, and I'd place DA:O at a D cup while Bethany's look more like a DD or even an E. This puts them at approximately 3 to 4 sizes than average, not even taking into account that Bethany is also slimmer than the average woman. Ergo, the phrase 'enormous' can quite fairly be used, even taking an objective standpoint.
