I'd have to say Edwin. 1 because he is arguably the most powerful companion in BG2 (even more than Charname) and 2 because he is hilarious and just a great character. But i also love Viconia since she was my childhood favorite.

I also seem to one of the few that actually found Anomen a awesome character aswell. He may be a show off but he does pretty well through out the story according to the choices you make.

As of least favorite... Nalia or Jaheira. While most can understand why i dislike Nalia, I found a lot of people liked Jaheira. I know she was mourning Khalid and all, but i just found her ****y at some points. Maybe just me though

1. Viconia -> Pure awesomeness with a good storyline.
2. Korgan -> Want someone that insults all the do gooders and scares Aerie? He's your man!
3. Edwin -> pure awesomeness.
4. Keldorn((the sword))
5. Aerie((sure, a bit annoying, but still an uber spell caster))
Hates
1. Anomen... Annoying.
2. Nalia -> really? who wants a person that basically takes money from you and gives it to beggars?
3. Jan -> Overkill jokes.
4. Jaheira -> ... Too serious.
5. Yoshimo -> Backstabber.
Baldur's Gate
Favorites
1. Viconia -> Gotta love her getting chased by the Flaming Fist when you first meet her.
2. Minsc -> It's Minsc.
3. Branwen((I have used her for about half my runs))
4. Shar-Teel -> confuses all the male tanks.
5. Kivan -> Ranger ftw!
6. Ajantis -> Dumb tank with a bad attitude.
Hates
1. Xan -> Dreary.
2. Faldorn -> Never liked her and happy I killed her in BG2.
3. Khalid -> stutters and scares easily.
4. Montaron and Xzar -> They were always the weak link in the party with me.
5. Garrick -> Purely annoying. Bards are also one of the only classes I don't like.
6. Dynaheir -> All high and mighty. I know she was meant to be this way.
7. Edwin -> No storyline past Dynaheir. The Red Wizards don't even recognize him...
