None of the mage hats looked good, helms in general looked poor but some of the armored helms where ok, I could not stomach a single mage hat though.

First Enchanter's Robes
That combination actually looked cool

Any other opinions? Should they go from the Origin style overall?

I'd like to see some battle mage get-ups. Not an arcane warrior nor squishy wizard either. Someone who's in the midst of battle kicking arse and taking names with AoE spells. That means they have to have enough armor to protect them without limiting their movement much. Think something like this:
More armour specifically for battle mages/arcane warriors would be very nice.
I just don't want those weird boob-trims that you got on the apprentice/mage/senior enchanter robes back. Those robes were boring on everyone but the boob-trim was just ugly O_O I personally like the Tevinter style robes. They looked kinda... mystical and outcast-y. I liked the fur

Oh and also, burn all the old hats along with the person that made them.

Hah, I can't imagine what the poor guy who modeled the hats is going through now. I sure don't envy him ^^
Isn't he dead? I assumed all this flaming and bashing has already sent him to his grave.
On a proper note, something like this is good for those who want 'darker' mage robes:

Edit: Found a very nice Female Mage robe:

I'd want my Blood Mage to look like the Final Fantasy red mage.
Agreed. It was particularly fun running around in FF11 as a red mage with the "pimp hat".

I think it's settled that this look is awesome. Not only the outfit, but the hair/beard. It also doesn't hurt that the outfit is blue. Anything is awesome if its blue.

I didn't really like that one too much. He looks more like an old hoarder than a mage.

Back to topic.
The robes in Origing looked
I myself like a more "modular" type of armor/robe, with just a bit more vibrant colors.

But then again, impracticality can be thrown away with the explanation "It's magic."
Same with robes, why do mages wear robes?
A vest, a shirt and some pants can do just as well, enchant them up.
Are robes more magical than ordinary clothes?
I am sorry, I still don't understand why wizardly types always wear robes, besides the tautology that it just is how it has been for a while.

Yeah, it's a funny thing. More like a symbol, than anything of practical value.
