Just thought i would throw this out there to see if anyone else has encountered this. Ive played through mass effect 1 without any problems with the graphics 2 or 3 times but i just downloaded the latest patch for it.
Now when i play it the graphic qaulity seems to be alot less then before i patched it. So i spent some time fiddling with my graphic settings and managed to get it a bit better, but its still a far cry from what it was like before the patch.
Whenever I use a biotic power now the enviroment and especialy your sqaud seems to get a weird distortion on them one minute they are reasonably smooth and defined, then hmm its hard to explain its like when you enlarge a picture to much and the pixels become large and blockish. Pixelated i think the word is. Like i say it happens to the entire screen, and is realy quite annoying. I know biotic abilites are meant to distort the area like ripples but this distortion is way to extreme and horrible looking to be just part of the normal effects.
Objects and sqaud members are alot more jagged and rough in general then they were before the patch like they have no anti aliasing. Im thinking its a combination of this and the enlarging pixels.
Im using a NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT video card with driver version 8.17.11.9745
Oh yes and i have all the settings on the highest setting but i dont have windowed mode running and i disabled the shadows as i find those glitchy shadows on the faces very distracting and annoying. At the very least im hoping someone can tell me how to uninstall the patch so i can see if it makes a difference (cause maybe im just noticing this issue more then i did the first few times i played it. rather then the patch degrading the quality)
Graphic quality gone down in ME1 after installing patch
