Hello there!

I have recently reinstalled my OS, yet forgot to backup a module I had created for my DA:O character. It was a simple item mod, so I figured I could simply recreate it. (High hopes).

I recreated the module to the closest of my ability to remember how I had made it before. The UID was correct, and my previous saved gamefiles could load again, but the items were not loading. Obviously, there is more of a certain degreeee in this module that must match the previous criteria that I used.

I even tried to create an identical module, with a seperate UID, and try to load that instead, but the items still did not appear. I also tested these module on earlier save files where the original module had not been applied, and the items appeared as normal.

For reference, I originally followed this guide for creating the module.

So I have a couple of questions regarding a possible solution:

What parts of the module must be exactly the same for the game to recognise it as if it were the original module?

Is there a way to "clear" the save file of any evidence from the last module, so I could simply create the module again and hope that would work instead?

The item you create in the duplicated mod needs to have the exact same file name as in the original mod; the other information from the mod probably isn't important, but having the exact same item file name is.

Thanks for the info, ladydesire! Hopefully I can experiment with some names to see if I hit the jackpot.

Does anyone know if any of this information is available through the savefile itself?

It might be, yes.
