I still cannot get this to work.

I put it as the first command:
Self Health <50%   Use Highest Poutice

Maybe twice my guys used them...then the stop..

I know I can't select my party or that will bypass their commands and I know that if I press H for hold they will ignore tactics..those aren't the issues..they seem to be getting to the last command on the list which is attack, then staying there...and not looping back up to the health check.

I even tried putting <75% and still no go.. I even tried the >= to ones..still no.

What number is your healing command in the list? the higher up (closer to 1) has the highest priority. If it's at the bottom, any other action will take place before... You can move higher int he list by clicking on the number and dragging where you want it in the priority list.

Or I guess you did that already... hmm... I'll check if I can't find anything else out.

I have Wynn set to healer and she does everything intended..and she has like 10 commands..yet on Alistair and leliana I put only Heal potion and attack..and they seem to always just attack...and will die before using a potion.

Well I figured it out, I had used a trainer at one point in the game to dupe some potions when I was trying to figure out tactics..and turns out when you dupe an item with the trainer it is invisible to the players so they were thinking there were no potions. I threw the duped stack out and purchased some new ones at the shop and it seemed to work then.



And that is why I don't use cheats and trainers..shoulda known not to try to test something that way

i'm having the exact same problem with leliana & i haven't got a trainer installed. sometimes she'll take a potion, other times she won't

i've put her at 50% health, even 75%. i've dropped her back to 50% so i can keep an eye on her. i still have the micromanage.

not too much of a big deal now but at the end of the day, i can't rely on the tactics to fully take over my companions if it starts getting hairy on future bosses
