Went to the OPs first link made the new folder, extracted the two programs into the folder....ran the tlb disable...and the programs status sits at "working.." nothing else.

Same problem, program doesn't work o.O
Affinity also has no effect, just seems to cap my fps at about 20
I'm using a 9500 and still havn't found a workaround that helps remotely.
I'm looking at you EA -.-

Okay I don't want to be too quick to assume it has worked but I think the fix may have granted me some benefit...

I couldn't get the one in the OP's Link to work but I found one here www.dateranoth.com/videos/phenomfix.exe that works fine.

Broken link for me, Dasos.

I'm having the frame-rate issues after 1-2 fights, along with excessive lag-time(screen freeze) for dialog options to come up. Oddly, the frame-rate during dialog and cut-scenes is perfectly fine.

OPs links didn't work for me. I downloaded Overdrive, but I cannot get the green-light+ yellow ring. I can get green light+ red ring and no ring, but that's it.

System specs -

CPU: Phenom 9500

RAM: 4 gigs

GPU: 2x ATI 3850s XFire config

OS: Windows XP 64

Well, this fix worked for me too. The game was unplayable after about 10 mins and I've given up on it several times, coming back every couple months to see if the problem was fixed. I was just about to give up again when I found this thread. Awesome - now I just have crashes every 30-40mins. Never thought I'd be happy to say that.

For the record: Phenom 9500 Quad, 8GB Ram, GeForce 8800GT, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

Now I run at 1900x1200, 4x Anitaliasing, and everything max'd. Nice.

Never getting an AMD again though.

Wow, ya gotta AMD CPU &a Nvidia Card to get along with each other? I always thought those 2 weren't supposed to mix. I might wanna ask Gorath about it...

Ok, double-checked it with Gorath, & a few others, & it looks like I was wrong. I never knew before that they could generally mix together.

Do we know if this problem also exists for the AMD athlon II x4? Because that sounds like exactly the issue I am having.

I have similar problems with the game as are described here yet I run on triple core CPU. Do you think I can use the info provided in this thread to try and solve my issue or not?

oh well old thread but extremely usefulle xD i have problems with DA:O only recognizing my Phenom II X6 1100T 3.4 as a single core cpu >.< but the game runs all fine just some random slowdown when playing long (aka more than 8hrs in a row ' ) (tho i have 8gig ram and a GTX 460 FTW edition so i dont expect the game to slowdown xD )

got a deal at 15$ for DA:O + DA:A
