Thank you, Lord_Valandil for keeping it a thoughtful discussion.
Well, it won't be long before it's locked, you know?
If it isn't, then I'm a clown, sadly.
EDIT.
It seems that I'm a clown. Honk.
Sorry for my previous post

After watching the trailer I somehow got the impression that default Hawke is gay.
Might I ask why?
Dunno I have no problems with gays but it is strange seeing a homosexual maincharacter isn't it ?
Must be for you; as a homosexual, curiously, I've never felt that way. Maybe I'm just used to not being able to put myself in characters' shoes completely.
It'll be unusual for sure.

And Leliana and Morrigan could be romanced by a female Warden, as far as I know.
So, it wouldn't be a shock to see some other options in DA2.

How many potted plants have you pegged as gay in your life time? I can only imagine quite a lot.

Well, Zevran was a possible homosexual LI in DA:O, no?

Character in DA:O not voiced or "iconic" character BioWare is trying to sell to the masses.

Actually, Morrigan couldn't be romanced by a female. As I recall, we got 2 bisexual companions and 2 straight companions (Morrigan and Alistair).
Anyway, I agree. That's a pretty big change to make if they removed the homosexual romance so I doubt that's happening.

I know alot of people liked the Alistair gay mod, so I could see why some would think Morrigan was a bisexual love interest as well
Why's that?
I did play the Morrigan gay mod and it was quite good too.

Morrigan could not be romanced by a female Warden. She is strictly a man-eater. Which was refreshing, since the dark, edgy chick with no morals is always bisexual trope is so played out.
I'd love for Hawke to have a masculine and strong, silent supportive type as his comrade-in-arms, wingman, and lover. Like Hephaestion to his lover Alexander the Great, or Patroclus to Achilles.

This actually reminds of the gay couple in "The Calling" novel. They didn't flaunt the fact they were lovers but they always kept to themselves - both seemed the strong, silent and supportive types.

To contrast to Zevran, I'd prefer someone with greater moral integrity. Not sure about "silent," because if they do it wrong I'll just be bored.Deviija wrote...

I loved them.
I am keen on a gay LI, yes I am. My personal Hawke is currently asexual, but if the prizes prove tempting, oh my, yes. :3
HEAVY RISK.
BUT THE PRIII- *shot* Oh, right, DA forums. Not ME2. Sorry.

Indeed. I enjoyed Nicolas and Julien and their arc very much (though it would've been nice if they were more fleshed out and had a larger role, IMO). Portrayed in a good way, in that it isn't some drama or huge issue; it's just a relationship at face value. Like anyone else. Having something like that would be lovely.

personaly i dont mind homosexual romance options as long as there are still straight romance options. Otherwise i dont think i would bother with the romance option at all maybe even the game.
Well, then you don’t have anything to fear,
'cause I don’t think we’ll see a game exclusively with gay-romances, like, ever.
And that’s actually a good thing, because the majority of people aren’t gay,
and I wouldn’t want them to feel excluded.

Juhani was exclusively gay. Her romance was small, but it was still there - and with the patch, only female PCs could "romance" her. Unless you mean exclusively gay male romance, which is less likely (but still possible - afterall - trends change. Homosexuality will become more and more tolerated in the western world). Of course, this is talking about Bioware games. Other companies have done exclusively gay romances in their games. They are far and few between, but they are there.Clay Curragh wrote...
