I dont understand why so many games nowadays make you pay money to buy clothes for characters.

EG. streetfighter, etc....  stuff on consoles etc.


Why not I pay them and they take the clothes OFF???:innocent:  then it's actually worth it.



I know I'll probably get flamed for saying it but,  if so many people would pay for costumes, why cant i pay for an invisible costume. lol

Well how about skipping all the scenes if you wanna put it that way.  I respect you for cancelling the scenes out.

I just think if they gonna put it in the game, make it more realistic.   OR let people have that option to buy it.  LOL

I think the NWN 2 modding community could have done without the nude and "sexy" mods that people came out with for it so I am content with not having one released (at least not on the official site) for this game. But we're all entitled to our opinions so I'm sure someone will make one eventually.

It's not worth it, honestly, the moment someone releases a Morrigan nude mod, you'll lose your interest in the character. The mystic and desire is just ruined. Desire makes the heart grow fonder. At the most, I'd like to just see a skimpy, yet passable outfit, like Sheva's tribal costume in Resident Evil 5.

I'm guessing you want a nude mod because you want sexual pleasure. I'm saying that this particular video game wasn't made to cater to sexual desires, and I'm glad it wasn't. There are other ways to get sexual pleasure that are far easier and far more "personal" to your needs.

However, inevitably, some young welp is going to make your mod anyways, because he can't keep his hands off his little ******.

Yes it is a roleplaying game and it is really realistic enough for a rpg(or as much as a rpg must be). Of course you can want a nude patch or something but don't come with "come on it'd make the game more realistic" excuse, its really stupid.

Movies and video games serve the same purpose, sure- but they do it in very different ways; I'm not sure that one makes the other valid. I could see a romance scene in a video game including minor nudity, but I think subtlety is far more appreciated over a sensual peep show.

If an offical nude patch would be released they could add a checkbox in settings... The rating for games is weird if you cross check it with movies, a movie can be 12+ while a game with the same content might be 7+ or 18+ depending on violence, sexscenes etc. (also differs per country ofc.)



Anyway official patch could add a choice instead of force it on you.

An unofficial patch will always follow if the game sells and looks good.

I don't think it ruins the game, although that's a personal preference.

Giving a choice can't and shouldn't be "demonized" and might there be an official release you could warn before downloading it's a nude patch: don't want it? don't download it!

For everyone that is saying "Go watch porn and leave it out of games."



Firstly, due to the rating of the game I will make the assumption that we are all adults here. I'm sure we've all seen plenty of movies with nudity up to and including full frontal, male and female and probably some pretty raunchy sex scenes. It doesn't always have a point and it can be done tastefully.



The point is, it's not that all of us are a bunch of weirdy perverts attracted to pixelated characters (although I'm sure, like me, a few of you are.) It's that the developers themselves chose to include sex and then for whatever reason decided to go for a completely cop-out, cheesy, censored version of it.



Include it properly. Or don't include it at all.



If the argument is that anybody who wants to see Morrigan in the buff is just a sexual pervert asking for something that has no place in games then why did the developers take the time to include it in the first place? It doesn't have to be pornographic, and I'm sure they would do a much better job at making it tasteful rather than RANDOMGUYX who will just mod in a skin texture that makes everybody run around naked on the battlefield, pointlessly.



If they hadn't included it all I'm confident the mod would still appear, but the fact that they decided to include sex and censored it as badly as they did probably spurred on a bigger demand for it to be fixed.



Gaming is not the coin-op, pay and play casual experience it was in the past. It's a decent method of storytelling and over time it's becoming more and more adult oriented. Yet held back by some invisible stigma, the thought that it's turning everyone into violent, foul mouthed, sexual deviants. There was a point in time in literature, where a sex scene would have a book torn from the shelves and burnt, if it managed to get published at all. There was a time when nudity in movies would have to be cut for the sake of getting the film rated, yet games, full of violence and gore have never been able to cross that boundary into the sexual without coming across as being juvenile, pornographic masturbatory-fests. Despite the fact that you can swear in every sentence, sever a guy's head, eat it, shoot it, kick it around like a football and have that be perfectly acceptable.



Personally, I don't want a nudity mod. Like someone above said, it would take away the allure and mystery of the characters. However I think the developer's ****ed up by adding sex into the game, because they should either have outright gone for it, or not done it at all and instead all they've done is fallen on the line.

Well aren’t you tragically pathetic? It seems you are attempting to obscure your insecurities by exhibiting overt levels of sexuality. Instead of overcompensating for your loneliness and need for attention, you could invest some time in developing your intellectual abilities, or the lack thereof. I know that is asking a lot from you, because complex ideas and thoughts are probably well out of your normal range of functioning. Perhaps one day you will realize that your worth does not entirely depend on your ability to feign eroticism. I know it must be validating to receive recognition when playing as an aesthetically appealing character in a game, but you may want to find other forms of esteem as this is only pretense. I highly doubt that my comments will have any significant impact on your ability to understand your own behavior, and the fantastical reality you exist within. So carry on being ignorant and a complete disgrace to your own sex.

holy crap, way to read way too much into posts, people.



The sex scenes in this game are done very poorly - unlike ME, where I thought they were tastefully done. Yes, ME generated controversy, but did it hurt the game? I don't really know. I guess maybe here in the US it did. I don't really know that information, but I do know that quite a few people find the undies stuff a bit weird. Very few people advocating nudity in this game are looking for porn at all... I sure as hell am not, and I think the sex scenes were poorly done.



Outside of the US, nudity in games isn't such a big deal. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I find breasts less disturbing than the Broodmother, or all the blood and gore, the spurting, and all that. I love the game, but I think that the sex scenes are probably the worst part of it as far as the various in-game cinematics go, and sex is one of the tamer things portrayed in this game. Still a beautiful, immersive game, but yeah. Just my thoughts.

Exactly! It's a well established fact in fantasy that armour class goes up the less the armor actually covers (OK, for females that is, for males it's all about how big shoulder pieces you can wear), so a nude char would be near invincible!
