My own big big peeve: targeting with the D-Pad. So horribly awkward, especially when the game sometimes refuses to acknowledge a sight-line between a character and a particular enemy that is right in front of him.

Self-quote.

Seriously, I'm the only person who found this a PITA?

I found it to be a little annoying too.

I had a few problems with it (when trying to target something infront of me with a lot of dead corpses around) but it relatively remained pretty fine. I didn't have much trouble with the precise puzzles and such.

Added another one!

Deleting characters.
If you try to create a character after you reach the limit, you cannot delete them in the game itself and you require to go into the memory files and delete it from there. This is especially troubling when all your characters are the same name and you're extremely paranoid of deleting the characters you've created. An ability to delete the characters from the game itself (similar to the Mass Effect 2 mechanic) would probably be one of the best.

i have to %100 percent agree with the codex entries especially.

Often i would get a bunch of new codex entries when i finish a section, i would go to the codex and when you go down, it goes over unread codex entries before you can tell if it is unread (on PS3 and 360 anyway).

I've just purchased the PC version, I'm expecting to add more things to this list when I play through the PC version.

I didn't hit the character limit till I started a new play through this week and it took me ages to realise there was no way in the game itself to delete a character. I even dug out the manual, which was no help. Having this in conjunction with increasing the limit from 10 would be good.

This. Especially since playing Golems, Awakening, Leliana's Song, and now (probably) Witch Hunt all constitute a character slot. And you only get 10. Which means you could easily fill up half your allotted characters with the same guy (or girl). This annoying especially in light of Mass Effect's unlimited (as far as I know, and I've played through it 30+ times) character slots. I ended up having to delete early characters to make room for newer ones, then immediately regretting it.

I suggest dropping a piano (or The Anvil of The Void) on the person who came up with idea of character limit on PS3 and 360. Bioware always said they listen to their community...

Save on decision making and use the Piano of the Void.

Alright, I'm back from my voyage through the PC... I can firmly say that most of these issues don't exist on the PC platform and it's like playing the "director's cut" of the game with a thousand more goodies. It's just.. wow. The game looks a lot better on an average PC (can run WoW on max detail, SC2 on high) and the sheer difference between both menu and such is... wow.

Though I still prefer to play the console version, call me a masochist but I much prefer the analogue sticks over the mouse.

I totally agree with all of the above (XBox player, cannot afford a gaming PC, much as I pine for one:crying:).

The biggest annoyance for me (In Mass Effect also), is not only the character limit, but the actual SAVE limit - there are so many places in the game I want to save - to remind myself of awesome/important moments or to share said moments with friends, but I'm limited to 25 or so saves?

Yes I realise that 25 saves is probably excessive for the average gamer, but lets face it few of us would be on these boards if we were 'average';).

If I have 50gigs of free space, why shouldn't I be able to use it all on saves if I want?

Ooh, come to think of it - the ability to name our saves would be nice - instead of 10 'camp' saves I would know which was 'annoy Sten' or 'snog Leliana' (just as an example...yeah, that's it:whistle:)
