The first boss you beat in the game is in reality the end game boss, he will be transported back a thousand years into the past by the four fiends of the elements and evolve into a super being who creates the four fiends causing an infinite loop



The package Flemmith gives you is in reality a magical bomb that will go off in the summoer village, destroying everyone but one summoner child, you'll become seperated from Bethany in the explosion only to have to battle her as she's become brainwashed by the antagonist, who himself is brainwashed from the real villian that resides on the moon



You will fight a evil empire who turns darkspawn into magical crystals and with the help of a girl from both the human & darkspawn world you'll battle the empire and the crazy clown villian who'll famously say "i hate hate hate hate hate HATE YOU!!"



You will discover that Hawke is in reality not a native of lothering, but met the real Hawke and his family en route to Kirkwall, fake & real hawke are gravely injured but captured by an evil alchemist organization who experiment on them, thus giving both their magical powers, they however escape only for the real hawke to die defending our fake hawke who is in a catatonic state, upon awakening to this he believes himself to be the real hawke due to the trauma & emotional damage he's suffered from an unfullfilled life

(also Bethany is later killed by the villian as she's performing a magical ceremony to save the planet)



A giant monster then attacks kirkwall, destroying it and sucking Hawke in, thrusting him 1000 years into the future where he must try to prove he's the hero of kirkwall from the long lost holy lands of Kirkwall

(Varic is also there with hawke, but in reality was from the 1000 year later world where he died but maintained his spirit in physical form to assist his friend who was in fact the core of the giant monster)
