DLC items disappearing-- item code list?

Frustrating new bug for me in 1.04 seems to be DLC verification becoming much more unstable, causing DLC items to disappear randomly. I tried to fix this another way before and made things even worse by seeming to make some DLCs permanently unverified. Sucked. But I resolved that problem eventually, even though I don't know how I did it. I feel like I just got lucky.

Anyway, I've discovered the additem script, which is wonderful. Morrigan just lost the Winter's Breath (not Wintersbreath) staff from WK because of this stupid bug, and now I need to get it back. I can't seem to locate the item in the toolset nor via google, so... anyone know the item code? For that matter, anyone have a list of DLC item codes for future reference?

Many thanks.

The item code should be gwb_im_wep_mag_sta_icy.uti

Look at the Item List.txt supplied with the AddItem mod for a complete listing of the item codes.

D'oh, thanks! I looked through the description of the mod on the nexus site, and looked for a readme file there, but I didn't think to check the files I already downloaded...

Urgh, and I had Sten wearing the Warden Commander set and Shadow Belt, lost those too. So I spawn in a new WC set and put it on him, only to realize his armor rating is now 49. Naked his armor rating is 26, which is what it was with the WC set previously. And the Warden's Keep icon on the world map has once again disappeared...

This looks like an authorization issue with your DLCs. Here are the steps I always follow after the game launch and before clicking New, Resume or Load to avoid these issues:

1. from main menu, check that you are logged in* then select Downloadable Content
2. if you see your DLCs on a green background and Points Balance updating, skip to step 7
3. wait for Point Balance to be updated
4. close panel
5. click again Downloadable Content
6. this time you should see your installed DLC on a green background and the Points Balance in update mode again
7. wait for Points Balance to be updated
8. close panel and load your saved game, resume a previous game or start a new one.
* You must be logged with the very same account you used to purchase your DLC(s) or to redeem your promo code(s)

You only have to proceed this way on your first load after each DA:O launch. Once this is done, you can directly load saved games during the same session.

If the above steps do not solve your issue, the next step is to try to launch the Dragon Age Updater service prior to launching the game. For this, exit the game if it is already running, Open Windows main menu, select Run..., type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. In the Services window, look for Dragon Age: Origins - Updater service. Right-click on this service and select Start in the contextual menu. Once the service has started, close the Services window, relaunch the game and repeat the above steps.

You may also find useful information about the Dragon Age Updater service here.

Well I mean, it doesn't let me load games until they're authorized anyway, I think. Because it says, "This content must be enabled and you are not authorized," when I try to load, so I just keep telling it to load out of boredom until it authorizes and stops giving me that message. That's bad?

Last time this happened, I managed to get the Keep back somehow, but that involved deleting+reinstalling the DLC and having it become perma-unauthorized and doing some hair pulling before somehow getting it authorized again. Which I resorted to after the "disable, force-load, save, enable, load" process didn't seem to work. This time... meh. I'd just leave it be, were it not for the secondary problem of Sten having these boosted stats now. Morrigan seems alright, but I think that's because the staff was in her secondary weapon slot at the time.

Also, last time it happened was prior to playing through WK, so the only items I lost were the Blood Dragon set (a DLC which I also perma-unauthorized and had a heck of a time fixing), whereas this time I lost all of the items from WK too. Lame...

If you force load when you get the message about the Premium Content not enabled, your savegame will be loaded without any DLC for which authorization is missing and, when you save, your new savegame does not contains any data about these DLCs. So, when you load this new savegame, the DLC data (items, locations, npc, scripts, etc.) will be missing in the game. So, IMO, force loading is a bad solution to authorization problems unless you required to use it to solve some specific issues.

Well I didn't lose any of these recent items due to a force load. That was just one of the solutions I tried a week or so ago, prior to playing through WK, when the icon disappeared from the world map, and the Blood Dragon set was already gone.

It's a real shame what user have to go through today. Maybe it's the best you decode the DLC's so they no longer randomly disappear.

So... any suggestions regarding the borked armor class and such? Sorry for the bump, but I lose interest in continuing a playthrough when I encounter bugs like this.
