I have this quest in my journal and have already saved Lillith from the bandits in the WME. However, when I entered the Silverite mines and have met with the other merchant Armaas, there are no dialogue options asking him to leave his spot and head to Vigil's Keep. All I get is a persuade option to lower his prices and general information about why he is here and his deal with the darkspawn.

I received this quest from Miss Woolsey before finding Lillith or heading to the Silverite Mines so I do not know what I did wrong. Anyone else encountered this situation before? This is my first time playing Awakening, so perhaps I missed a step in the quest path somewhere? Thanks.

This quest seems very buggy. I've had Armaas turn up at the keep before I've even met him in two games now (though he was still in the Silverite mine and I was able to ask him to join me). I also had Lilith turn up during my last game when I'd never encountered her either.

Heh, that is messed up. I have not noticed any glitches so far except this (aside from hardly ever receiving any World Map Encounters). I was able to avoid the major "game steals your gear" by stripping my gear before entering the mines.

The Righteous Path main quest was the last one I had to do, so perhaps that played a role. I just hope I do not encounter any more.

The Silverite mines bug is easy enough to avoid. Certain items (Key to the City, Andruil's belt, and a few others) seem to increase the likelihood of the bug. So I strip rings/necklaces and belts.

If you wake up in the cell in your smallclothes, then your game is bugged, so reload. If you wake up in some of your gear (armour...this happened to me with Wade's dragon scale armour) your game is bugged so, yeah, reload. If you wake up in peasant clothes, your game is not bugged and you are safe to proceed.

I saved before entering the mines so I was covered if it bugged on me. I stripped everybody's gear to be safe and since the party is OP, I would crush any darkspawn that I encountered.

Though I was worried for a bit that it was bugged when I did not receive pieces of my gear from the experimental subjects' corpses. Then I found the chest and it was all good.

As to the OP question - I just played through that. Got an option to have him trade a the Keep, or lower prices now. I went with lower prices now. Sold stuff, exited discussion, went back to him - and got again the go to Vigil's Keep option.

Playing as DE rogue on 360.

I am on the PC.

Did you do the Blackmarsh and Kal'Hirol questlines before this quest? I am thinking that since I did this quest last, it may have bugged some of my quests. I have Velanna's Joining in my journal yet I never had the opportunity to complete it since the Darkspawn army has started their usual burn down the city routine.

It looks like I will miss a few sovereigns and exp based on Dragon Age Wiki;  my character is level 35 with over 1,400 sovereigns so I think he will "survive".

I did Kal Hirol first, then this - haven't been to the blackmarsh yet.

Last playthrough, I did this first, then Kal HIrol . . . blackmarsh always seems to be last.

That could have something to do with it - probably will bug Velanna's joining, if you do go right into the attack, which I think you do (as you said).
