I've tried this method and it corrupts my game. I cannot add followers.

Heres what I did.

1) Extracted the itemprps_promome.gda
2) Renamed it to itemprps_my_mod.gda
3) Copied the renamed gda file into documents\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\AddIns\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\my_mod\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\core\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\data
4) Restarted the Toolset
5) Created armor using the new fatigue property
6) Ran the game -> I no longer get any followers. Alistair doesn't follow me into the Wilds. I even strip down. Posted Image

Just use the erf file instead of the gda file and try that... if it still doesn't work, uhh, no idea.  I have the erf file and it's fine for me.  I can realize why you wouldn't want to distribute the Bioware ERF of course, but at least you can figure out if the problem lies in the fact you only have that gda exported (which I suspect may be the case) or something else.

Did you copy the 2da.erf file to the directory of your module? aka in my case it was my documents\\bioware\\dragon age\\addins\\my_module\\core\\data...

This method works to make the item propierties show on your editor. But if you were to disable the blood dragon armor DLC then the - %fatigue will dissapear from your items.

Any way to make this more permanent?

hi

Sorry to reopen this topic, but I have a problem.

I have made an armor with the decrease fatigue proprety and it was with my old pc using vista. For add the proprety to the toolset, I use the technique explain by elys.

In my now pc (using seven) I try to add the property the same way, but it doesn't work. in the toolset I don't see the property and if I open the item I have create, that tell me: "there is a property that isn't set on the toolset, so we remove it" or something like that.

I tryed to open the 2da.erf file with the "open file" of the toolset, but it ask me for a version, I try all the choice but the toolset can't open the file.

please can you help me for adding this property?

ok I resolved the probleme.

I can't just copy the 2da.erf file for add this property (don't know why), so I create the property myself (I think the blood dragon armor dlc is needed)

for add the property another way follow the following instruction.

go to the folder where you install dragon age. by default: c:\\Programme file\\Dragon Age
and then go to the 2da folder from the toolset
c:\\Programme Files\\Dragon Age\\Tools\\Source\\2DA
and make a copy of the file itemprps.xls

then open the copy and add this line:
Posted Image

save the file, then use the ExcelProcessor to make GDA file

then copy the GDA file in: Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\your module\\Module\\Override

then open the toolset and load your module and you'll see the property

ok I resolved the probleme. <snip>

Chiming in to say this method worked perfectly for me in DAO, running XP Pro 64bit, version 1.03 with Awakening installed (but not tested/verified in the actual Awakening content).

BTW, if you're wondering how to use ExcelProcessor, navigate to your Dragon Age install (like C:\\Program Files \\Dragon Age\\tools\\ResourceBuild\\Processors) and find the ExcelProcessor.exe file there. Copy that to a directory of your choice, then once you're done editing the .xls file, just drag the .xls file over ExcelProcessor and you should be done.

A couple notes about that --

--You may need to save the .xls file in Excel 97 format. I did.
--The .gda file may end up in your C:\\Documents and Settings\\Username file. It did for me.

Good  times~

I've tried doing this, but I can't seem to add the -%fatigue to my item properties no matter what I do. It's either locked (in case of 2da.erf files from things like Documents\\Bioware\\DragonAge\\Addins\\dao_prc_promo_me\\core\\data) or doesn't have it in case of using the itemprps.xls from Program Files\\DragonAge\\tools\\Source\\2DA. Is there anyway to solve that problem, or did Bioware "fix" the toolset so you can't pull stunts like that?

That's a basic vanilla property so you can easily (re)create a new itemprps entry taking advantage of it. Just use the "modify property" (ID = 1012) effect for your itemprp and feed it with the "-fatigue" (ID = 41) property.
Long story short :

I've been reading about the toolset in the toolset wiki, and I think I've discovered the problem. Despite opening the Itemprps.xls file in the 2da folder (I end  up having to open it as a GDA file), it does not look like this:
Posted Image

Instead, it's more vertival (with only 175 rows). Maybe I'm looking in the wrong file despite everything matching?
