Well, I started a new game with the intent of doing the whole Haer'Dalis-Aerie-PC triangle. I picked up Haer'Dalis almost as soon as I picked up Aerie, however, he has not spoken a word to her during the entire time I've had them in the group. I'm about 60 days into the adventure running around doing random quests. Haer'dalis has talked to everyone in my group except Aerie. Is this normal, or is something bugged with his script? I don't really like Haer'dalis enough to keep him around if he's not gonna make things interesting.

I've never been able to get this to work. According to some of the people that have (Over in the PBG boards) this may not even kick in until Spell Hold, if at all.
I've heard that it works best if you have HD in your party when you pick Aerie up.

Is it possible that your PC is a racial type that Aerie won't romance? Like a half-orc (only Viconia likes tall, hairy, green guys)?

Hmm, my PC is an Elf. I *think* Aerie goes for them? But I'm not sure lol.

Just a thought - I read somewhere that Haer'Dalis will only start the triangle if Aerie is already in a romance with you.
Since I picked up Haer'Dalis before any of the romance dialogues popped up, could this be perhaps why he isn't talking at all to Aerie? If so, could I just boot him from the group and then have him rejoin?

If you boot someone from a group, doesn't that kill all romance options with them though? Unless you have a mod installed.

Ah, I thought it was romance options with the PC, not romance options with other NPCs. Would booting Haer'Dalis affect his romance with Aerie? I'm kinda mad, because it's 80 days into the adventure now, and Haer'Dalis still hasn't said a word.
