Samara's LoyaltyMission

I did it to see what Samara would say on the ship and I must say i feel pretty awful. She sounds so broken and defeated. I'm not sure if I really want to keep it that way.
A part of me does feel guilty for whomever Morinth goes on to kill. Plus there's no guarantee that Bioware will make it so that if she does escape and live that she'll be present in some form in Mass Effect 3 or that there will be any "true consequences" in Mass Effect 3.
What do you guys think? Do you ALWAYS help Samara kill Morinth?

Morinth is pretty close to being a serial killer - she has a method of choosing her victims, she kills them in a unique way, and expresses no remorse... etc.

My FemShep just lays there.

Well, apart from the time I betrayed Samara... yes.

Pretty close? She is a serial killer, and a sexually-predatory one to boot. It's iffy as to whether she's actually a sexual sadist or not though: depends on whether you believe her victims really do experience lethal ecstasy. I suspect it's not all that pleasant.

So far iv always helped samara, morinth should die i never questioned it.
I've actually felt too sorry for Morinth to kill her a couple of times with my Paragon Shepard. My Shepard thought it wasn't fair that she was being hunted and killed for the genes her mother gave her. She couldn't help what she was any more than the rachni could. The notion she is a dangerous menace to the galaxy and therefor deserves to be put down would put Shep on the same level as the salarians and turians when they unleashed the genophage on the krogan. So ParaShep has occassionally aided Morinth. Renegade Shep always just blasts her head off for trying to brainhump her.

I essentially did this. Went far enough along to at least speak with Morinth afterwards, but figured she wasn't developed well enough to make it worth it considering how late in the game I was. All that was down that road was death by snu snu. So got my Dominate, reload, off I go with Samara.crimzontearz wrote...

it is kinda odd if you think about it.....Morinth, the one who is supposed to burn out your nervous system....gives you dominate as a special power
Samara who on the other end is a "normal" asari gives you "reave" which indeed burns out your nervous system.....
odd

You get the Dominate power, which is pretty sweet. Plus there's the curiosity of seeing what Morinth does the rest of the game. But once you've gotten both out of the way, it's hard to justify ever siding with her again lol.
I did it once, unlocked the power and then reloaded straight away. Metagaming ftw

is this power permanent,in the bonus powers selection(s), or does it only last during that playthrough?
never sided with Mornith, so I wouldn't know

Permanent, like every other bonus power.

Funny thing was, once I did unlock it, I never did use it as my bonus power. I intended to do so with my Engineer, but went with Neural Shock. Which is awesome.

sense you miss renegade points and the
upgrade on the wall in the room, as for a
morality issue, morinth is just nasty anyway,
but as for 3 its impossible to know, it could be used against aria in some way be it only kudos
for shepherds strength of presence in omega
(if its even still there lol), or if you let morinth
live maybe she goes on a mad brain mashing
rampage and samara will try and rip your
head off for not listening to her in the first place. Its all guesswork i do think morinth
should die though.

Once you unlock her Dominate, you can use it for any playthrough. Which is why several people comment on siding with Morinth at least once.
double cool
thank you for the quick responses

now I won't feel so guilty trying it
