1. Off-topic posts.
2. Trolls.
3. People reporting #1 & #2.
4. Woo gets an enormous amount of reports.
5. Woo is one of the few moderators for the entire forum. He gets exhausted by the amount of reports the thread generates. He decides the thread is more trouble than it's worth.

That's why the thread was locked in a nutshell.

I miss it. A little. It was a bit like a car accident. I couldn't look away.

From what I understand, consistent spamming that grew the thread to enormous size combined with trolls from their side and other threads flaming each other and the fact that they strayed very far off topic made Woo decide to lock the thread permanently.

To be fair, while there were a lot of angry Tali fans out there I don't think they all deserved to be judged as such. But still as it stands nowadays the mods appear to have had enough with the Talimancers, which I also think is kind of a mean label to give them, and don't allow any Tali threads to survive.

Stanley Woo cained it... because it went off-topic all the time. He repeatedly warned them but they wouldn't listen... so he cained the thread. Perhaps they will allow it to return in some form when the PS3 version of the game comes out. Otherwise just deal with the fact that it is gone.

Effectively this, although some people purposefully made efforts to get the threads placed on suspension, such as a fake replacement after the 2.0 was locked. Not sure whether the thread is gone permanently or merely temporarily, but the group serves well enough in its place.

Did my best to keep the thread on-topic, along with others such as NuclearBuddha and Azint, but we weren't online 100% of the time and frankly, we shouldn't have any sort of obligation to hold the goddamn thread together. Not that it was perfect, but we certainly made an effort. Regardless, the group is nearly as active as the thread was, so it works just as well.

Because a large side effect of having the largest fanbase is, unfortunately, also having the largest collection of idiots.

Infected by trolls and spammers. Its a shame too... It has to be a BSN forum record. 10,000 pages...

Probably something to do with it being used as a chat room for the better part of the past six months, mounting report counts, and the hate-it-because-it's-popular crowd.

A little of what everyone's saying. But this discussion should not have been started again. Any questions or concerns about the forum should be directed to a Moderator. THank you.

End of line.
