I know that golems of Amgarrack takes place after the events of Awakening. But is witch hunt after even GOA? And also will our choices in witch hunt effect anything in future games?

The precise order would be Leliana's Song -> Dragon Age: Origins main story (including Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar) -> Darkspawn Chronicles (as an alternative to the main story), -> Witch Hunt -> Awakening -> Golem's of Amgarrak.

thats wrong - awakening takes place 6 months after origins and witch hunt takes place  1 year after origins

Leliana's Song > Dragon Age: Origins (+ The Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar) > Awakening > Golems of Amgarrak > Witch Hunt.

Darkspawn Chronicles is alternate universe so doesn't exist in the timeline.

My mistake then.  I always thought Awakening was a lot sooner due to the comment Oghren makes saying he had been at Vigil's for a week prior to the Warden arriving.

Thanks for the correction.

I'd hardly call it an alternate universe, its just a "what if" scenario.

How do you guys know that Witch Hunt takes place after GOA? Did I miss something?

Well, seeing as Witch hunt is pretty much the conclusion...I think of the bioware guys mentioned that.

I haven't seen any indication that GoA takes place at a specific time, only that it takes place after the events in Awakening. Witch Hunt, though, has been said takes place one year after the conclusion of Origins -- that's 6 months after the beginning of Awakening.

Golems of Amgarrak can take place any time after Awakening, before or after Witch Hunt -- nothing has been specified, as far as my knowledge.

Witch Hunt takes place 1 year after Origins. The exact time that Awakening ends. Thus:

Leliana's Song (+DLC) --> DA:O --> DA:A --> Witch Hunt --> GoA --> Your Warden gets pwned by an army of Harvesters :D

Im willing to bet our Warden will cameo in DA2. Even as little as a gossip.

So, you're saying the events in Awakening span over 6 months. I would say that's far too much. I'd say it spans over a month, two tops.

witch hunt is last. GoA can be after da:o or awakening, though if importing, the dialogue sounds like it's meant to take place post-awakening. witch hunt is the conclusion to the warden's story, so sounds to me like it's meant to be chronologically last

According to theory every "if" creates an alternate universe. So actually you're both right. ;)

60 days sounds like little time to rebuild the entire keep, dwarven workers or not. If DA:O spans up to 2 years of history, I think 6 months is a good guess for Awakening.

And that's where you're wrong. The keep isn't being rebuilt. -- For that you would tear down the structure and then build a new one. And that isn't what's happening.
There are some repairs and modifications done to secure the structural integrity of the keep, but that's all. Nothing that requires a lot of time by a large workforece.

actually i think that the entire order of the dlc is in chronological order, minus darkspawn chronicles, although i do think that the warden will die in the end of witch hunt, because morrigan did warn you never to follow her and also shes got a god child under her command... anyone else worried for their warden.. i am :( well if it comes down to my demi god child and morrigan or my life.. i dare say mine is more important :P

Well for the pure fact that your character from Golems imports into Witch Hunt signifies that Witch Hunt takes place after Golems, and that Golems takes place after Awakening (imports) and Awakening takes place after Origins (and all content there) and Leliana's Song is a prequel of sorts, even though it's not really accurate, she changes things for story sake. Don't even mention Darkspawn Chronicles... just don't. That DLC probably is where Bioware/EA were like... alright time to stop... Talk about missing the mark... who was in charge of that? Witch Hunt is a year after Origins, and Awakening could have taken several months, maybe, but Golems was squeezed in between.

Personally I think the only set in stone order is Leliana's Song -> Dragon Age: Origins [RtO & DC & WK[ -> Dragon Age: Origins Awakening, and then after that point its up to interpretation due to how you play your story.  Golems of Amgarrak in my opinio happens immediately following Awakening, based on the missive you get at the start from the Seneshel who is dead [depending on what you let happen to Amaranthine].

I actually just played through the entire thing and I can safely say that it's definitely gonna be Lelianna's Song -> Dragon Age: Origins -> Dragon Age: Awakening -> Golems of Amgarrak -> Witch Hunt.

Not to give away anything but unlike other DLC you have a choice to come to full closure with everything. My mind is just spinning with the possibilities of Morrigan and the Wardens involvement with Dragon Age 2, it's gonna be HUGE!

Witch Hunt takes place about 2 years after the defeat of the Archdemon. When looking at the world map, hover over the places and it gives a description. It says Denerim is recovering 2 years after the death of the Archdemon. I don't remember the time it says for Vigils Keep (awakening), but it says that it is rebuilding and growing.

(aside from that) was any1 a bit pissed with the way witch hunt ended? i was like, i thought that it was going to tie up all the loose ends but it just ended with me going wtf?!? it has just left me with more problems..........like morrigan talked about flemeth coming back and how the world was soon going to "change" and that she left u a special item of interest which u never get to see and how she vanished threw the mirror and said that this time u "WILL NOT SEE ME AGAIN" and how she constantly wouldnt fill in the gaps in sum of her sentences like about flemeth and how she has become something else but couldnt say and that creature u fought.... the valterral i think, the fact that it just popped outta nowhere n how it was a myth and how it was the only one. it says that WH is the last dlc and that its "ur wardens last quest" ever which im doubting about......i have an idea that Bioware/EA will do a **final** DA:O dlc another sort of "awakening" dlc but about flemeths reincarnation sorta thing and to tie up **all** loose ends, just think about it........anyway let me know wa u guys think and tell me ur thoughts, like DA:O is a great rpg but u cant end the dlc with another cliffhanger.

Thanks

I don't understand why morrigan states that the warden denied her at redcliffe when that same warden slept with her at the ritual night and saved his own ass. I just finished the witch hunt but I never understand quite the dialogue my warden had with his lover morrigan. sucks! could someone shed a light?
