Does anyone know where I can get digital copies of these games? I have tried gog and steam but no luck.

I doubt there'd be a steam version unless they remade it or something.

However an updated version with more fixes and such might be appealing on steam...

Gog was planning (or at least talking about getting) to get the rights to BG2 (and to Planescape: Torment). But that was months ago and those titles are still not available there. It may have been too expensive or they used all their resources to get the rights to Total Annihilation:p.

Other than that, i have no idea. I think gog is still your best hope, but i have no idea whether that'll be anytime soon.

Just go to Amazon.com and buy the disks themselves. Having an actual hard copy is far better than some download.

Despite the fact that I have hard copies of both BGII and ToB, I would buy digital versions in a heartbeat! It's nice to be able to play a game without having the CD in the drive. That'd be awesome if there was cloud support too, so your save games could by synced to different computers without having to transfer them manually.

ATARI has the rights to these games now, including PS: Torment (I think?). And they're still making money off selling the 4 in 1 collection and the games on say Amazon and other sites.

I bought the 4-in-1 boxset twice. Not only am I an incurable BG-addict, I'm neurotic too in the sense I've got a fear of damaged discs. So I use the original discs only to install the game and I've got a copy of the only disc I need to actually play Tutu or Shadows of Amn: the TOB CD. I've made a copy, named it 'Play disc' and use it for, well, playing the game without risk of damage to the original copy. AFAIK it's legal to make a back-up copy for your own use, but I won't mention which CD-copying program can make a working copy, unless I'm absolutely sure I would be allowed to name the program on this forum and not get myself banned. I love this place too much! BTW: there's no crack involved, just making a copy of the disc that's recognized by the game as playable.
