My ideal m/m romance:
Character more than physical existance, however having an LI that could turn into a jet fighter might lead to some interesting Top Gun style moments.
As well as some severe injuries.

And I can't bring myself to even consider anyone for romance I'd have to do more than tilt my head upward for to reach.
edit: The other way 'round as well, but that isn't a problem that's set to arise often.

Their justification wasn't to say why they didn't think it was viable to include M/M. It was why all the gay options had to also be bi. At least that was my reading of it.

Why is there no Fem/fem romance thread?
Don't any lesbians play dragon age? or atleast some 14 year olds?

Probably because nobody has any doubts that a f/f romance will be available in some capacity.

Probably because nobody has any doubts that a f/f romance will be available in some capacity. After what was said to "explain" no m/m romances in the ME series, there's some paranoia that we're going to hear it again now that DA2 has a more "third person narrative" angle with a "more defined protagonist".

Hence why I said, if it is excluded while other options are included "M/F F/M F/F" then I will not be purchasing the game by way that the company would receive money: I'll get it used.

Ditto, hence, my pessimism that since they are including a smexy macho macho man protagonist for DA2 that they will come out and say as they did with Shepard "he has a set IP, so no M/M romance options" and that'll be the end of that. If one can choose the characters very gender, than romance options are not "set peices" meaning that it in no way HINDERS to allow same-sex romances in the game. And by the, I do not mean only F/F.... Because we all know if romances DO occur in DA2, F/F will exist....Because they don't mind catering to the men that enjoy seeing women with one another or the lesbians (though I thing the former is whats on their mind than the later) but not to men that simply like MEN. Macho men like men too you know.
Hence why I said, if it is excluded while other options are included "M/F F/M F/F" then I will not be purchasing the game by way that the company would receive money: I'll get it used.

Shoving an image of Hawke making out with pirate lady just to enfore his straightmaleness (in a similar way to Shepard/Miranda in the ME2 trailer) isn't exactly encouraging either.
If f/f is in and not m/m I doubt I'll even get DA2 used. I gave Mass Effect 2 a chance despite that and wished I hadn't bothered.

To be absolutely fair, we only ever saw clips of Warden/Morrigan or occasionally Warden/Leliana. This is to be expected.
Not true the Zevran trailer had him and a red haired female warden making out. But with 90% probability we will only see he straight romances from Bioware, should non straight romances exist, some other source like a preview by a game site is probably the only way we will learn about them.Saibh wrote...

But I'm right with you. One of the reasons I haven't bought or played ME yet is I can't shake the 'for 13 year old boys' image I have of it in my head. Part of that image steming from the fact they were willing to include a lesbian romance (with an alien race designed specifically for the male libido) but decided their male protagonist couldn't possibly be gay because something, I never figured that out.
I don't appreciate being talked down and as far as I'm concerned (as a totally hetero male) that's an insult to my intelligence.

Asari(the monogendered) were designed to look femenine to fill the void for the lack of female aliens (which you see none of in ME1) And beyond that they don't really give the horny male gamer any more than the Horny female gamer (although kelly lesbian romance is in ME2 but not a full romance more like a striptease/flirtation)
You really need to pick up Mass effect, Just because lack of S/S romance is a bad reason to miss out on the series IMO

Those are the blue chicks with the huge racks and are all up for girl on girl action, right?
Yeah, I think I'll stick with my current bias against the series.
