Also it seems to me the number of topics displayed per page is a bit low. Would be nice if that would be increased. As you know, a topic that falls off the first page falls off the radar.

I find the the last poster pics can really bloat the row size of a thread on the topic list. It would be nice if these pictures could be turned off, or if their size could be limited to what space (in height) the actual text occupies.

Agreed and further to this, I might be a dumb arse but how does one go to threads that fall off the front page? I don't see any way to click to view 'next page' or anything like that?

Ah, so it isn't only me, that's a relief ;-) I've been looking for a "Next page" link on the front page as well, and didn't find one. It might be a good idea to add this - once the site goes public, it will presumably get a lot livelier around here...Beerfish wrote...

On the front page? So far I've only seen paging in the forums, but not on the "What's new" page.

I think they're talking about the Recent Activity log from the home page of your account where there is no pagination.

I wasn't, and I think neither was Beerfish (correct me if I'm wrong). The paging in the forums is fairly obvious 
And to get back on the original topic of this thread, I agree with you: an option to turn off the pictures would be nice. I wouldn't make them much smaller, because that might make some of the more detailed ones hard to see, but your suggestion about allowing people to turn them off makes sense.

Whoa, we had no idea the player portraits were that huge - fixing ASAP!
Additionally, we've just triped the number of items shown per page - not quite as giant a list as the old forums, but still a lot more useful than it was.
