Near end the game in Denerim it seem that you companions splits in two team. Now 3 is comming with you and rest go to other job. Now my question is what happens if you only have 3 companion? I mean there was gameplay for the other than your group, but if you have no-one there?

According to the Wiki, "If you have no companions other than the three you take with you to fight the Archdemon, you will skip this quest. There is no apparent impact on the story if this happens."
