These are the new fans bioware would rather have.

Read my second post in this thread again. It will explain that the Council's position on the Reapers is entirely justified. It's no reason to commit indirect murder on them (I really hate Renegade Shepards in general so that's not a big surprise...)

Would certainly build some credibilty in regards to the council if they do plan to do that. They have to face it eventually, and having them go from utter denial in 2 to acceptance in 3 is a bit sudden. Unless they plan to keep them in denial through out a part of 3. It's just one game though, so the story won't be long enough for that to make sense.

It is "just one game", but then, if they could handle the transistion from utter denial to acceptance in "just a DLC", then why couldn't they do it in ME3?

I was under the impression that there would be multplie story bridging dlc's. It'd have to be several dlc's dedicated to doing that, not just one.

I don't want to spend half of ME3 convincing people the reapers are real. I want it to be set up from the begining so we can focus on actually taking the reapers down, not convincing people they exist at all.

The Reapers are coming, buy Cerberus Stock!

We take no responsibility for harm dealt to non-human individuals that occur within the timely proximity of the Reaper Invasion, be it before or after the events. For further Informations or questions, ask your local Cerberus Cell operative.

i think shepard should take control of a reaper at the end.. and fly it right into the council chambers and say "see it now Aholes! see it now!"

I can see it now:

Shephard: "See it now aholes! See it now!"

Turian Councilor: "Ah yes, reapers."

He does that and he should dare to be quick enough to dismiss the bullet flying to his face. And if I had to mod the game, he'd be deader that dead if he pulls that on me again!

If I told Congress to prepare for the return of Cthulhu and the Old Ones I suspect I would get a similar reaction.

if this liara dlc si the start of the bridging content, and is set after the ending of me2. surely shepard can prove the existance of the reapers now. we saw him at the end looking at the  data pad with reaper info on it. especially if you keep the collector base in tact and data from the normandy logs and stuff would also prove you went to the collector base etc? (whether TIM wants to give up info on it is another thing...)

should this be referenced by council in post game content now? is this enough proof?

That LotSB is set after the ending is just a rumor, I have at least not a heard a thing about that officially.
The Collector base proves nothing, only that the Collectors were obducting humans. If the Council and Alliance wouldn't believe that Reapers exists from Sovereigns wreck then why would a Collector base and a datapad change their minds? We'll probably have to wait until ME3 to say "I told you so!"

Just switch out the words to Al Quaeda and Terrorists and you'd have them eating from the palm of your hand though...

Too bad that can't be done with the Council in ME.

screw those clowns

Go troll somewhere else, for someone who never even played ME and does not even know the characters, you have no right to say anything about the council, go play ME2 and have your illusion that Miri is the best romance ever or your pew pew pew and poorly written story.

wait min who in the hell said you had to play ME 1 to play ME 2 oh thats right  Bioware even said you did not need to play 1 in order to play 2. yeah Miranda is better character then rest of the punk b*tches in the game .  you can take that stupid title of troll and turn it side ways and shove it right back up your sorry A**.

"I'll take a Council science team on the Normandy and head through the Omega-4 Relay, where they'll find an intact Collector base full of Reaper information."

Unfortunately, it won't be that simple.
