I would say that the child of Anora and Alistair makes a good Galahad, if you assume Anora is like Elaine, and Alistair is like Lancelot, and Guinevere is like his mistress Warden. Not perfect parallels, obviously.

Great post but just a suggestion Anora is most probably infertile.

Probably, yeah. I think that DAO is setting up for a succession crisis in Ferelden, since every single outcome of kings and queens have problems with birth and fertility. The most likely option is Alistair as a sole ruler, assuming he marries a fertile woman. I probably should have said "a child of Anora...", since I doubt she'd have one. I doubt DAO is the sort of place to have a perfect little holy baby, either. Galahad is such a Marty Stu. :P

:)

Yeah. I think he will marry Empress Celene as the late Cailand planned to.

doubt it. I soooooooo doubt it. I doubt it a trillion times over.

Besides that, people read just a tad too much into those letters. There is nothing indicating he was planning on dumping Anora and marrying Celene--quite the contrary, in fact.

Though isn't it interesting that there is the potential for two nations to be without an heir? Ferelden in particular is in a tricky position since the darkspawn taint pretty much takes Alistair out of the equation (though there is the potential child with Morrigan..) and Anora seems quite barren. We know very little about Empress Celene I, I assume she isn't married or with an heir at any rate. Can't help but wonder if we'll be deciding some rulers in Thedas again later

You might as well stick with Garret. I'd say these don't really offer much of a "Ferelden flair" over the default name.
It's your Hawke though, my opinion shouldn't really matter.  I guess I would prefer Damien from them but that's pretty eh.

Just use those iconic D&D names. Soveliss for your elf, Hennet for your mage and erm, Krusk for your warrior.

Garret still sounds too much like a wild west marshall's name. Damn American culture is eating at my brain. I could see a shoot out on the streets of Lothering at high noon between Garret and a hurloc emissary.

Jondalar is a nice name. He's a character from some book and also someone you'll meet at Candlekeep.

I like Bioware's naming convention in BG, they just spell normal names backwards, like Neb.

Yes, Tostig sounds like the most fun of the three. And if you really want it to be memorable try this:

Or Koveras? I had a friend take a break from the game at that point. It was a little cheesy.
