So, basically, I killed off all the Doppelgangers. After Jaheira took a beating and nearly died, I retreated to the far end of the room, which allowed me to save and heal my characters. The two named guys, Liia and Balt (or whatever the second one is) both died in the fight I think.
Now, whenever I get back into Sarevok's view, he starts his speech ending in "You have failed!" and Angelo and his minions storm in to help. One wizard, the first one in the room, his name starts with W I think, gets of a major Flamestrike blast immediately. My PC survives the initial damage which only scrapes off about 1/3 of my health, but then, shortly thereafter, the rest of my HP just disappear. I tried interrupting the wizard's spell, but he's too fast. He's in the room instantly, too, as if he teleported and then immediately launched into casting Flamestrike.
Now, the odd thing is that he targets my PC no matter what. I even put my PC up on the second floor and waded in with my other party members -- no difference. The mage gets off his spell, my PC loses some HP, and, one second later, the PC looses the rest of it.
Any help???
Oh, right. Idk how useful this is, but my party is:
PC (Stalker)
Minsc
Jaheira
Coran
Imoen
Dynaheir
Any ideas would be helpful. I understand I'm supposed to talk to Liia and the other guy and show them the evidence I found against Sarevok, but since they're both dead, would I have to reload an earlier save and make sure they don't die in battle?
Thanks!

Cast Otiluke's Resilient Sphere on one of the Dukes. It will help them survive the fight.

Use dispel magic and also a few disablin spells to easily kill the dopples. Also flame strike rods can do hefty damage to unprotected ones...

The answer to this question is that if both dukes die, it's an instant game over. You don't get a chance to fight or anything. The game is programmed to end. I've always hated this particular game-stopper.

Nice thing about a TuTu/BGT install, is your cleric(s) get Holy Smite. It does nice AOE damage that only hits the dopplegangers and none of the bystanders (using AOE effects in there can be bad...if it turns any of the friendlies hostile, you pretty much can't win).
