I need to complete it to get a healer...and it's a hateful place. Maybe I'll just turn evil and teach Morrigan how to heal the party and give the Magi the finger.
Okay, I officially hate the Circle Tower more than any other game place

The Fade is vurry irritating, yes.
Other than that I rather enjoyed it.

Not sure what you mean, I had great fun at the Circle. The Fade section was awesome, the optional puzzles were fun, you got some nice loot and the boss fight was pretty cool. What more do you want?

Just finished it last night. The tower quest itself is not bad, the whole sloth even is. You're being forced to finish a compulsory "side quest" with no way out. It took me a good 2-2.5 hours just to finish the whole segment. Running back and forth, searching every nook and cranny, testing what forms works best for what enemy (not to mention the numerous reloading).
If it's a standalone quest, I'd say it's ingenious. Innovative and entertaining. Making it a quest within a quest like that is just plain annoying and ineffective. People would just want to blitz right through to finish the tower.

being a golem was awesome, and my dwarf warrior with 18% spell immune raped

I found it irritating the first time I went there.
Knowing what to do in the fade helped a great deal, though... now I enjoy it. A shame that the bits that depend on which characters you have in your party are so short though.

Of all the sections I have played so far, I find the circle most interesting. I loved the fade. It does get tedious, however. Though I don't remember the exact figures on the number of healing salves I used up, I do remember it was a lot.

I thought the Fade event was one of the most brilliant parts of the game.

fade part was nice.. and forms were very easy to use...
only thing i hated at mage tower was the ****load of codex entries i obtained all for those 2 side quests... but because i wanted to rush it as much as possible aswell.. i still need to do those summon/statue things

Loved the fade. That was my favorite quest I've done so far.

Yea, fade was nice. Once you got the hang of it. Plus, let's not forget the most important thing- free stats!

Didn't have to spend that much time in there tbh and you also get alot of permanent stat points all over the place nom nom.

Circle Tower was great, Fade though---was awesome. It was a great change of pace from the party play, --i actually found stealth to be useful there(don't find sneak useful at ALL in the game)
I actually chose not to shapeshift when fighting the mobs, it made it a lot easier(like using the golem with all those melee guys)
Anyway, great area, the dream sequences were great(especially Morrigan...but I still need to get Oghren there) --cool boss fight too(sloth)

The fade was cool, but I would be lying if I said I didn't feel sick after watching all that weird "heat distortion" effects. I wish I could just turn it off

I liked mage circle, it was not interesting by itself, but was easy and fun to smash through. Fade is also brilliant although sometimes somewhat irritating.

I can see how one might find it irritating, since there is a lot of back and forth to it. I know I don't particularly like covering the same section of a dungeon more than once in any game.
I did find this whole quest enjoyable though, very well done and detailed.

I liked it.
Best of all, only using one char. Tactics are not bad, but nothing like beeing able to focus on your char and not on 4.

The Fade will drain every thing you got, your hope of leaving and your will to keep going. Just as he described should have listened to that mage.

I didn't like it, but that's not because of the content, but the graphics. I ended up with a headache after staring at a swimmy and blurred screen for close to 3 hours. I am already dreading the time when I have to go through it again with a second character.

Really?
I have no problem about repeating that with another char. Actually, I can't wait to get there with my second char. There I can test my chars soloing.
What I am dreading is all the dialogs and history I will have to repeat with all of my chars. Really, the story, dialogs and lore of the game are great. But they didn't think much about replayability. I don't want to hear the same stories with 8 chars. Sure, there are some new ones each playthrough, but the rest... I feel like I am pressing esc more than anything else.

I absolutely loathed the Fade my first time through - I was a mage. Second time through I tore it apart with my warrior, wasn't bad at all though it's still my least favorite game segment. A bit ridiculous how much better your character is after it than before.

What you need to remember in the fade is that as soon as you have all 4 forms.. you can finish EVERY ISLAND with just the forms.. dont use your own character, just switch between forms.. save your friends and then move to the centre.. the last fight can be an incredible pain in the bum x.x
