Now I believe that the seven figures represent the permanent followers you will be able to recruit in DA2. It has already been revealed that there will be at lewast two followers of every class, and seven seems a good number for the permanent companions.

The first appears to be a kneeing man with a bow strapped to his back, so I am guessing he is a rouge with ranger spec. The second looks smaler than most of the others, and the short legs suggest a female dwarf. The third appears to be male and holding a walking staff, the fourth a woman ith a shield (maybe the wife of the templar ?)Followed by a male dwarf (Varric?), a woman wearing a dress/robes. And finally a woman  leaning onto something.
What do you think ?

A problem with having non permanent companions is that you might get too attached and then all "WTF" when you don't have them anymore and you're stuck with the permanent ones. Look's alright. Need's more manly Warrior.

I think Bethany(mage) , Varric(dwarf) , Sketch(mage), pirate lady from the trailer(rogue), and possibly Nathaniel Hawke(archer) will potentially be companions for DA2. Oh and the templars wife(warrior) from the beginning of the game.

Makes me wonder how many permanent companions are going to be a complete surprise. We already know about a lot of potentials: Aveline, Bethany, Varric, Nathaniel, Sid/Sketch, Mysterious Pirate Girl, Arvid the tap-danc------wait no scratch that last one.
