@Saibh: I don't have a problem with fanservice character models, and I'm a girl. Hell, if I did have a problem with fanservice models, I'd have found games like WoW virtually unplayable. (Though it still has plenty of unrelated reasons why I literally cannot play it unless I'm in the same room as my friends and b****ing to them about it. Joking aside, I consider Morrigan's character design to be both full of fanservice as well as correct for her personality and the story surrounding her. Fanservice can be done right without getting too many people riled up.

You're missing my point. Women will have to play as women avatars, and they do not want to be stuck with ones they don't like, that have an unrealistic and ridiculous body model. Also, you choose whether to drive a Porsche. If you really hate it, you need not drive it. Girls are stuck with the model given to them.

I'm a guy and I hate guy-pandering. Not because I'm a feminist but because it just totally reminds me I'm playing a game when I'm told to take some scantily-clad female "warrior" wearing a square inch of armour around her DDs seriously. It's why I just can't watch anime; I've heard some of it is actually good but every time I make an attempt I get knocked out by a pair of ****** and held down by blatant fetishism.



Origins was quite good at holding back on the irresistable urge to make every bit of female armour as unprotective as possible, but the busoms were still quite large, especially on characters like Wynne.

Most women don't want their love interests to be portly. They need not grate cheese on their abs, but they should be fit. Most men want their avatars to appear masculine and powerful.

Your answer is that if you aren't allowed the absolute ridiculous ideal of what you find attractive in a woman's body, regardless of gameplay logic, then women only deserve unattractive men who also defy gameplay logic.

I've developed a rule for all to follow: "The quality of an anime is inversely proportional to the average bust size of its female characters plus the total number of episodes written."

It hasn't failed me yet.

But that's the beauty of my argument--you're not giving up anything. It's a compromise for something you like and something we like. It might not be on the far end spectrum of what you'd prefer, but it's still something you like.
