That is a pretty bad score, but the mages in DA:O tended not to have such pitiful stats.

Actually Gandalf only has the appearance of an old man. From what I remember of my Tolkein lore, the wizards aren't really humans and they aren't really mortal in the conventional sense of dieing of old age.
Also Rowling describes Dumbledore as being surprisingly fit and quick when Harry accompanies him to find one of Riddle's horcruxes. He isn't a fragile old man.

Besides, isn't Bethany a mage? no need to be like a steroided olympics athlete, boobs on her are fine.
Well, of course. She doesn't have to run around, just to stand still and use magic.
And people, we haven't seen the other female companions.
Just sayin coz I've seen many times that boobs make it hard for her to fight. Boobs are fine for mages!
Hey, I wasn't being sarcastic.
I don't have a problem with her boobs
Me neither. They shouldn't remove any more "content" from DA2, nor "dumb it down" any further
Dumb it down.
You consider gigantic breasts to be the epitome of intelligence? Why not, if they're large enough to stuff a brain in each. Big boobs aren't stupid any more then they are "intelligent". And averaging out character bust size is also not removing content.

What Gandalf *really* is doen't play any role for like 99% of the trilogy.
Both are old, they're ok for *their age* but still they're old men and definitely not athletic.

Tbh i think large part of that is simply result of "gym race" between actors competing for the roles. It is a pretty new thing -- compare men starring in movies made in the 70's and nowadays, and the difference in physique of average male appearing on screen is staggering.
It's not as much they're picked "because that appeals to men's tastes" but probably because that's what the majority of people who try (and actually manage) to break into movie industry looks like. More mundane specimens get glanced over and discarded as ugly in comparison, and so this (un)natural selection is very much self-propelling.
And frankly, it's getting to point as ridiculous as these oversized busts on the females. DAO is pretty bad in this aspect, especially if you check the light armour male models. They're so barrel-chested they resemble apes more than humans (i mean humans and elves here, dwarves get a pass because well, dwarves)

I was making a reference to the "dumbed down" threads, chill

If Hawke draws power from his beard, then Bethany must draw power from her bust. Both must stay, to help slay the darkspawn.

I think that he was joking.
And still, I really don't have a problem with Bethany's breasts, I really don't care about her boobs.
I understand the concern of the girls, though. But I still think that complaining won't change a thing.

Getting off topic but,
Both actually are very athletic with Dumbledore showing serious signs of aging after receiving injury. Gandalf isn't actually old (he looks the same as he does when he arrives in Middle Earth several centuries before the events of the trilogy) and he's a capable fighter who relies on his magic only when he absolutely has too.

Well, the devs have said that if people voice their concerns in a civil manner, they do listen. That doesn't mean everyone will get what they want, but it does mean it isn't necessarily pointless to put one's opinion out there.

Wrong. If you want to be realistic, then whatever male models they've been showing are exaggerated. This is not to mention muscles that develop based on combat looks completely different than muscles developed by working out or doing arduous labors.
In addition, this muscle stereotype only works if your character is a strength type character, while other possibilities, such as DW Warriors, Rogues, and Mages should not follow this stereotype.
It just seems like most people are not happy about this because most people who post about this are the ones who are unhappy.
It is the far-end of idealism, but it still makes more sense then girls stomping around in chainmail bikinis and such.
Regardless, as I have pointed out, the presence of one doesn't justify the other. Both can use a change.

Well, I don't remember him meleeing much tbh, fact is mages rely on their magical powers, they don't need the physique of a fighter, much more they have no need for the boobs of a fighter. Bethany's Boobs are fine for mages.

For a nurse or someone who spends her time behond a desk in the Tower, sure. But for someone who has to live on the road and do everything a soldier would (minus the actual slashing bits) they get in the way.

You know what makes more sense than that? Having all females stay at home where they can make babies and sandwiches for their brave warrior husbands, who are off at war banging a harlot in a distant land...
In the end, this is a fantasy setting. More importantly, a modern depiction of a medieval fantasy setting, where modern culture is embedded in every nook and cranny. Modern Western culture demands supermodel figures with large breasts, because we like them and it works. For us men, we love big breasts. That's a fact. If you don't, then it's because you lost faith in the boobage... And I'll remind you men, and inform you women (the ones with smaller breasts) why some of us lost our faith in large breasts, and why some of us still cling to our fantasy...
It's because large boobs look great in clothes and a bra (even better in one a bit smaller than it should be)... But more often then not, they are a real "downer" when they are unleashed... So let us men have our fantasy where women can have tig'o'bitties without us, and them, being let down. DDream big. Go Bioware.
