Of course we've grown since then, and we like boobs and vagina, penises and rockhard abs, sultry women and gruff men along with all the joys of high adventure!

So I say let the women have their eye candy with their Nathaniels and Alistairs... But gives us our Morrigans, Lelianas, and Bethanys! Give us our eye candy!

Bethany is modestly dressed even if she does have a big chest. Nothing is over the top about her design. I just don't get all the hullabaloo.

Magic isn't real. They can make up what they like about it. I know it's not real, and don't have a particular basis in reality for it. Dragons have a standard that I expect to be kept (fire breathing, lizard-like, they fly), but otherwise, they are free to make up what they want.

Women are (would you believe it) naturally occuring specimens. I can compare them against real life. I am a girl, in fact. I can make judgments on what is closer to reality or not.

Good fantasy is grounded in reality. When it isn't, you're specifically enjoying that fantasy because it's so completely campy and unrealistic. DA is not that kind of fantasy.

Why is it unrealistic (as realistic as a fantasy setting is) for a young female mage to have boobs, if old men can do, why can't she?

Er...I'm not sure what "if old men can do" means? 

In any case, it's not unrealistic to have breasts. If Bethany's character model is limited to small portion of the female population, great. But I'm operating under the assumption that it is universal. In that case, it is extremely unrealistic.

I mean that since old men can be successful mages, so can a young girl with boobs, because the question how come she can even have boobs & fight came along.

by november I will begin training as a pilot in the Canadian forces.  I will never marry, never let someone else burden me and force me to quit my dream in exchange for a boring high paying office job to support a family.

There's really no reason for an old man to heft thirty lbs plus of pack every day and go traversing the land. As such, the only way to include an old man in your party is to have him do just that.

However, you can include a female with realistic proportions.
