this is a man sexualized purely for the sake of being turned into eye candy, with total disregard for how silly it makes him look. A pretty close equivalent of what's done to women.

Now i don't know, but have this lingering feeling quite a few men would rear and neigh at the concept of playing character like this because hey, it actually doesn't make them look all that cool and powerful

I'm curious why you equate breast size to sex appeal. Do you find women with smaller chests unsexy just because of the size of their chests? No other factors go into you finding a woman sexy?

That's pretty much what I was feeling. People bringing up Bethany and how oversexed someone like that appears and how horrible it would be to have the PC have that body, when Bethany is built pretty similarly to me personally, feels a little insulting.

I'm sorry that you felt insulted (as I stated in one of my posts, I found her breasts a.ok), I hope you realize that most of these posts were done with good intentions. All my sisters are very, urm, well-endowed and it is easy for me to remember that women with above average breast sizes are not caricatures [ along with the fact that they kicked my scrawny ass on a daily basis thus disproving the" women with large boobs can't fight" theory ] while it may not be the case for most people due to the fact that body shapes are used as placeholders for stereotypes. 

Short version: I appreciate your feelings and your body is awesome as all womens bodies are because breasts.

This smells like deflection to me, but I'll bite. First off, why does any man find specific physical features to be sexy? Second, like any man I find breasts attractive in general, but still certainly enjoy the shape (purely visual) and feel (tactile and not related to games) of the larger ones. Personally, I'm more attracted to the hips/butt/thighs area and I appreciated the design of Miranda.

That's true, but they're not going to be nearly as good in a fight as someone who's toned and athletic. Like someone pointed out earlier, out of all the top female athletes in the world at the Olympics, you'd be hard pressed to find one who's very curvy and buxom.
DA should abide by those standards... There can be really well endowed women warriors, sure, but only few and far in between because really... women who look like Bethany and are constantly placed in dangerous situations wouldn't survive very long. It's literally survival of the fittest.

Hey, i could've posted pictures of men turned into bdsm sextoys instead but i doubt it'd fly that well with the forum mods. Alicorn aside from being liquid, frozen awesome  is also relatively rating-safe. And yet he does convey the siliness behind the basic concept of it pretty well.

It's a bit of a shame that all the males and females have the same body in the game...it would be nice to have more variety--ideally, different shapes for rogue, mage and warrior. I'm a little concerned that Hawke (while sexy) maybe a little...overblown compared to the men in DA:O or Mass Effect who have muscular but fairly realistic bodies. As to the women--yes, I'd prefer a more athletic body type. I don't mind them having sizable breasts, but you can have that and still be strong and athletic...maybe a body that's a little more Serena Williams and less Meghan Fox.

I just thought that "making the PC not so sexy" was a curious turn of phrase in regards to breast size alone. But sure, I'll address the rest of your post if you want.

I don't really think I AM taking away your right to care about the females' appearances. I already said I don't care if SOME women in the game have enormous boobs, I just don't want that to be the default. Are you so selfish that you require every woman in-game to conform to your ideal? No I believe you've already stated the opposite, in fact.

But if we are debating about the default female body model/PC's body model then i believe I have more right to see my wants implemented than you do, in this one case. As a female playing a female, I think my comfort should override your want for sex appeal, in the case of the PC's default female body.
