Small straps on the upper part of the chain mail hold it up.Saibh wrote...

I disagree that she is wearing a corset. I agree that the chainmail is positioned in a very odd place, but it doesn't look like any corset I've ever seen.
Maybe it's the chain mail but near the back of her robe / shirt, I see straps of a sort. They don't really look connected to the chain mail.
They do to me. Besides that, tightening straps wouldn't really do a whole lot to constrict your waist. Corsets have to wrap all the way around and have ties that surround the waist that can constrict.
If those straps aren't holding the chainmail up, what is? They also go over the chainmail, as you can see.
Would you be ok with guy oriented eye-candy if there were more for women?

But it doesn't really need to be limited. Jack is essentially wearing a strip of leather covering her nipples. Morrigan wears a scarf. Miranda has a suit that comes pre-crack'd. I don't object to any of these things. You can have fanservice that pleases guys, and have character models that pleases women all at the same time.
That, to me, clearly seems like the best solution.
so what kind of models did you have in mind?

You guys should realise now that no one is changing their minds and I have no opinion on the matter that I would claim to be mine.
BioWare has told us that, when presented sanely and logically, they listen to us. Maybe not follow through with our suggestions, but they'll hear us out.
Besides that, I believe it only helps to have your voice heard, within reason and with manners.

You're defending outrageously large breasts by saying that it's what the market wants and they'd lose sales and in a few years time, the market won't be able to support realistic looking women.
The markets post had nothing to do with breasts per se tbh, maybe you should read it again.

Nearly naked women have small breasts and women how are covered up mostly get big ones?
Could pull off a Morrigan and have them increase in size if you change the armor.

so.. women don't enjoy having large breasts? or they don't enjoy it when other women have it and they dont?
for us: its: all men want 6 packs, we do not hate other men who have 6 packs, but strive to achieve that goal
...
Do you not see this entire argument of women coming forward and objecting to this ideal?
What you just said is: men want six packs and get six packs in their games. Men want big boobs on their women and get those on their women in games, too. Women don't care that much about six packs and get six packs in their games. Women prefer reasonable chests in their video games, and get big boobs on their women in games.
Something does not compute.
There are logical reasons for a man to be very fit in a video game--he is athletic, he can carry swords and wear armor. It is beneficial. It is not beneficial for women to have ridiculous sized breasts and do those things.
This.
Also, giant breasts are distracting while trying to kill enemies.I could imagine some guy(and maybe even a woman)for instance, going; "Ooo boobs.......must slash darkspawn...big boobs *drools*....oh sh!t,I died." ****** are not the main focus in DA.It would be the same if the male characters had penises the size of their swords.I would find it distracting, slightly disturbing, and a waste of time and graphics that could have been put to good use like say for instance.......details on your armor.

ME's were fine. DAO's had some problems with the shape of the bodies (you remember those shoulders?), but weren't over-the-top. Miranda's figure is pretty damn voluptuous, but if that was the settlement we had to take, I'm okay with that, too. It's not at the unrealistic, painful scale of Bethany's.
Of course, this is assuming that Bethany's model is the only model for females, or the default one. I am completely okay with her figure if this is not the case. If that's what the male love interests are like, that's fine, too. Just not the majority of the woman and definitely not my Lady Hawke.

I wish people would not let how someone else dresses bother them so much.
Or how someone elses body is....
Or how a fictional characters body is...

What's the standard? Sexualization that women don't enjoy?
It would be one thing if I said I can only like men with six packs, and you said you don't, and I objected to that and then turned around and called foul to sexualizing women.
Large breasts cannot be equated to large packages, since they are not enjoyed the same way. I would be more repulsed by a gigantic bulge sticking out of a guy's groin in such unrealistic proportions as Bethany's.

There is women who do enjoy this kind of appearance and men claim they don't care what their characters look like, so it's a win-win is it not

Dave, the screenies you posted made me realise Bethany's outfit is neither robes nor armor (wtf with the chainmail anyway?). Additionally, Hawke's awkward codpiece in screenie no.2 O_o
Anyways, why give Bethany such an outfit that only protects the front of her waist and crotch but her jugs are vulnerable? I am disappoint.
In any case, eye candy of either gender is always fine but please avoid chainmail bikini at all costs... The only way chainmail bikini is ever permitted is in fantasy ART not games...
lol princess leia?
This. One of my favourite artbooks, that I have yet to buy... I did get to browse it in Borders.

wait aminute
video games are created by men for men, where they can live in a fantasy world free from the evil and powers of women in society . Why should companies have to limit themselves to by what women say/want

So fire balls flying around being completely unrealistic do not do anything to make you beleive what youa re seeing is not real....but someone with very large breasts will make you think this is so not possible?Dave of Canada wrote...

I don't know. Exaggerated characters don't necessarily kills the immersion.
The characters in Brütal Legend, for example, are caricatures, but the story is still good and their appearances didn't ruin the experience for me.
I know, I know, DA is aiming to be "more realistic", but still...I'm not taking sides, just saying.
I'm watching the fight from my rooftop
