yes, coz Bethany's boobs violate Newton's laws...

Breast sizes compared to two-hundred years ago have largely increased due to all the growth hormones introduced in our meat products (forcing women to develop earlier and bigger), Bethany's breast size is also a lot larger than the average from nowadays.

Now we've got women who get implants to get gigantic breasts that can only be compared to the woman model in these screenshots. How do you expect me to believe that a fantasy world based of a medival setting can host bajillions of women with breasts the size of mountains?

Mecha Tengu you are just precious. I would so dearly love to see what your opinion of women and marriage is like in 10 years.

recently I think 3 days ago a fire tornado was caught on camera.
ALso people have something called chemicals that can easily create fireballs.
Will your average person see these?
Probably not.

Do they do those with magic? Can they just spout them from thin air only? No. They cannot.

Seriously, that's one of the weakest arguments I have ever seen, and I've never said that on these forums.

I think it just shows that any excuse to talk about breasts is good enough.

You're right, being on the writing team of a game devoted to story and writing and characters is a truly marginal job. Lead gameplay designers, also highly unimportant.

oh whoops

but these games were definitely not marketed to females

Really? You think Alistair's romance was made for men, then?

rommance is just one part of the game. Most of the game is slay the monster and save the world

zzz???? haven't ever met a girl interested in D & D or diablo 2

I believe that it acts a corset, regardless. It has been styled to be some sort of scale or chainmail armour, but it does seem to have a "corset effect". Actualy, there also seems to be some sort of padding arround her breasts. I didn't notice that before.

Her mother is wearing normal clothes and has the same body figure. ^_^

I really do not get it.

Fireballs flying around do not happen in real life. I have nothing to compare them against. Willing Suspension of Disbelief allows me to accept that they are real, in this situation--I can't say that it's impossible for a fireball to be that big, because magic doesn't exist.

Women exist. Women with those proportions are unrealistic and it occuring naturally is very rare, and would cause her only problems in a battle setting. The entire population of Thedas appearing thus so is similar. I can compare it against reality and find it wanting. If reality is found wanting in this fantasy setting, suddenly immersion is broken: it is no longer a viable world with a story grounded in reality, that makes it compelling and intriguing.

I fail to see how such proportions would negatively affect her in battle. I have had my ass handed to me multiple times by a woman with such proportions (this was sparring in a tawekwondo program) and had no problems with fighting, myself. You ignore the fact that women of such proportions are used to their bodies.

That said, not everyone is of such proportions and portraying everyone as such is unrealistic.

I love D&D and once ran an all-female gaming group. Never met another girl who played Diablo, though....

I disagree that she is wearing a corset. I agree that the chainmail is positioned in a very odd place, but it doesn't look like any corset I've ever seen.

Maybe it's the chain mail but near the back of her robe / shirt, I see straps of a sort. They don't really look connected to the chain mail.

They do to me. Besides that, tightening straps wouldn't really do a whole lot to constrict your waist. Corsets have to wrap all the way around and have ties that surround the waist that can constrict.

If those straps aren't holding the chainmail up, what is? They also go over the chainmail, as you can see.

I believe that it acts a corset, regardless. It has been styled to be some sort of scale or chainmail armour, but it does seem to have a "corset effect". Actualy, there also seems to be some sort of padding arround her breasts. I didn't notice that before.

As someone who's made a corset before, chainmail would be a *terrible* choice for corset material. If it's meant to be a corset I chalk that up to a lack of knowledge on the part of the character designer.

But it was there, was it not? It was there for women. To play. I mean, it's a damn big part of the game. A lot of time was spent developing it and making it. Not to mention women having two other people to romance. Clearly this game was designed with women playing in mind. Enough to allot quite a bit of space and money and time to large segment devoted to them.

I played Diablo 2 and I knew several girls in high school who carried pouches of dice of different sizes around with them every day. They exist. I keep saying this but the gender break down of pop culture & general nerdery cons is about 60/40 male to female.

Well I've seen bigger breasts than that, and I'm inclined they're not that rare nor as big as you make them sound.

I will say the same thing I did on a thread about women breasts and how they should be done differently.

Men are still the majority.

As the majority we still are putting more money on the table to help the company.

Women are the minority.

Growing minority means little till your big enough.

Deal with it.

i don't think it should be viewed as some kind of competition of "which gender does BioWare like most?" that's just silly. And proportions are a matter of artistic style. The fantasy genre has long has the well-muscled man and the buxom woman; they are idealized figures.

Heres something to think about. How about throwing a curveball into the Fantasy genre? Have the well-muscled woman and the buxom man. What--what?

But seriously, I wouldnt mind the women in the game to have breast reduction.

How do you expect women to not be a minority when they are used for nothing but sex appeal and you discard their opinions because "men are the majority"?

Taki, or Mai Shiranui for example, if we're talking about videogame girls.
