that is not the reason they are the minority, plenty of games with no sex appeal at all simply dont appeal to women.

They are not expected to do anything.
They claim to be growing.
They do not need to buy video games.
Nor do men.
There opinions are not discarded but simply not used because they are still the minority.

I fail to see how such proportions would negatively affect her in battle. I myself have had my ass handed to me multiple times by a woman with such proportions (this was sparring in a tawekwondo program) and had no problems with fighting, myself. You ignore the fact that women of such proportions are used to their bodies.

That said, not everyone is of such proportions and portraying everyone as such is unrealistic.

But can you prove that having breasts that size didn't impede her? Whereas I can present numerous accounts of women getting breast reduction surgery because it caused them so many problems. Back pains, the size of them, the weight of them, the shape of them; all of these things contribute to difficulties managing highly athletic situations. Maneuvering swords, drawing bowstrings, running, jumping, climbing trees, whatever.

I tell you, if I am not strapped the hell down, it freaking hurts to run and jump. Jumping into a cold pool hurts. I do not have DDs.

Because they figured out that if us women folk can and do enjoy playing games, they can make more money from sales.
And contrary to popular belief, not all men find giant breasts attractive.They also like big rears,nice legs, and a pretty face.
And maybe some of the male characters are designed the way they are because gay men want what they want too.

I honestly don't have a problem with the amount of buxom women in video games. Sure, it's unrealistic, but so is their portrayal of archery, war, economics... almost everything. It's exaggeration. It's been in our media outlets longer than anyone can remember.

Like my friends, they just don't care about videogames, despite having consoles. Despite them being a minor community, I have always thought that there must be harmony.

And that only appealed to men? That could appeal just as easily to women. Only young girls appreciate Hello Kitty Island Adventures. The rest of us grew up and now devise tactical battles in DAO on our PCs. It was not the macho testosterone-fest some other games clearly marketed to men are. What were the parts that were there to appeal to men specifically? Oh, yeah, the romances. Women and men got equal playtime and enjoyment out of that game.
