Okay, well, now that I have compared that Christina Hendricks picture to the screenshot with Bethany and Hawke standing infront of the smoke on the horizon, I have to say that I retract my previous statement, which said something along the lines of "I don't find Bethany in particular to look ridiculous".
 
That is not what I see everyday on the street.

Until I have some more recent screenshots of Bethany, I'm not going to comment any further on her bust size. Any other comments that I have made I think are valid, but that's, err, yeah. I don't know if maybe the picture is influencing what I'm saying seeing in the screenshot or whatever (it's late, and I am beyond tired at this point) but I think I'm leaning more toward Dave's point of view on the issue.

I like eye candy like everybody else.
But that's not the reason I play games. I play them for the story, for the character interaction, and how I get immersed into a whole new world.
If a character happens to be good-looking, great. All the better if I'm romancing them.
But adding in nudity, sex scenes, and overtly sexualizing characters just for the sake of doing so, I don't like. It cheapens the game for me. or turns me off playing them. I won't play a game just because it has a hot guy. And when I see games with overly sexualized girls, I feel the game is catering to male audiences and I shouldn't join in playing that game.
BioWare's been pretty good so far. Morrigain had questionable clothes, but those could be changed. In ME2, Miranda was made out to be a femme fatale, and those can't exactly be ugly; she had great character development, so a few obvious butt shots could be overlooked when talking to her.
And sorry if I'm half rambling on, but I'm falling asleep as I write this.

Yeah, Morrigan's outfit when replaced with the Sacred Ashes Trailer edition is actually much prettier. I play these games for the story too, it's like an interactive novel...

Bethanys boobs are normal, just bigger than average. Call them gigantic, say they're higher than everest, whatever, doesn't change that they're normal but big boobs.

For some women yes.

They are extremely uncommon and that's including all the growth hormones and implants that we see commonly nowadays. Considering a medival world though, those breasts are unrealistic physically because without growth hormones and implants, those types of breasts are pretty much physically impossible to get.

I think it gives you a different perspective to see that size breasts on a real person. Christina Hendricks is gorgeous but her bust size is not the least bit common.

You're saying they are normal, alongside a few people who say they love big breasts and the fanservice and that women's opinions don't matter because they are the minority. Dozens of women are saying they are extremely large.

The devs don't really have anything to gain from commenting on this subject. All that would happen is a portion of the community would feel alienated/pissed off. Some people want no sexualization or unrealistic proportions of any kind. Others feel the game should have both and I'm sure most people, like myself, don't give a damn either way.



That's why I said like 30 pages ago that this thread was pointless.

I can't speak for Dave of Canada but I,myself, was joking.
I had a friend who was skinny and had naturally large breasts.So yes, there is such a thing.
The only problem I have is when breasts in video games are the size of torpedos.They look ridiculous.
Bethany's aren't that bad.I'm chalking up the size of her breasts to the fact that she's wearing a corset of sorts which lifts and creates cleavage and it looks like theres fabric covering them underneath the corset.So it would give the illusion of bigger breasts.

ok fair enough, then your point about DA2 (can't really comment on all games released, don't play that many of them) is clothing tbh tho, that's something different.

I'm saying this because people here act like they saw an alien, while Bethany's breasts are normal, albeit big. I've also known people like that for years.

I mean, why say anything? It's not like the devs have specifically told us that they take the time to read our thoughts when we're being sane and rational.

Change always happens on it's own, when no one mentions anything about it.
