How wages the war? Is it still: "We'd like realistic female body models" vs "MOAR BOOBIES!" or did it become more complex in my absence?

I agree. I can't tell if it's my unnatural bias towards Rogues, though.
There should be another piece in the series. You know, the one where Rogue Hawke fails because her boobs keep setting off traps.

True, of course some of us prefer women athletic and not showing lots of flesh when they're supposed to be dressed for a fight. I don't require believablity, but I do like to be able to suspend disbelief. If I'm thinking "Only a moron would get into a swordfight in this getup" that's not good.
just put her in armor then. Has everyone on here forgotten about choice??? If you want your character covered put him/her in something that will cover them. If not then put Hawke in something more revealing, heck run around in undies if you want(......the under garments should be much improved this time lol ). Something for everyone. Again I ask: What is the problem?
this doesn't solve the problem as every female pc we bump into would still have the GG chest.
Not every female, just....well, every female human. Making different body types for a human female would be a pain and honestly, not worth the effort. As I said many times, the body variety will come in the from of other races (elve, dwarves, quanari, etc. ) Sure you may not like it but other will: Just like there may be things you like about the game that others will not like. I am no fool though, this thread isn't going to get anywhere. We are not going to get EVERYTHING we want in a game, that simple. not you, not Anarya, not Lord Gremlin, not I: no one. I don't have a problem with that.

It's not like you where forced to use the chasind robe in Origins either. Jees.

It may come as shock, but for the same reason -- "making different body types would be a pain and honestly not worth the effort" DAO uses the same body type for humans, elves and dwarves. The elves are human models scaled to 92% of the original, and dwarves are human models scaled down to 84% vertically.dislye wrote...

Thus, i wouldn't expect the other races to bring that supposed body variety, either.

I'm well aware I won't get everything I want. I feel like there's a point to making myself heard on the issue, however. I've heard many posts along the lines of "well no one ever objected to ______ when Origins was in development!" Clearly no one can say we never objected to the huge boobage before DA2's release. Also, with the amount of new threads discussing gender issues that have cropped up recently I'd say more people are beginning to just consider the issues at hand. If I don't get anything else in the way of my wants, that's at least something.
But I still want a reasonable default chest size. *crosses arms*

Yeah, that will work great for a rogue. Because it's not like every single light armour available in DAO for females used the same single mesh and come with the same chest exposure.Sejborg wrote...

Huh. Out of curiousity, why do dwarves have orangutan arms? I appreciate your posts like this that reveal the way the body models work, by the way.

The models have their "skeletons" used for animations with arms of roughly the same size for all races. So on dwarves which are shorter than humans these arms are relatively longer. Elves have that too, though since they're not as short as dwarves it is less visible.Anarya wrote...

I'm not sure why they did it this way especially since it meant some extra work had to be put into adjusting arm mesh to match the bones. Can only guess this had something to do with ability to use the same animations for all races, but it's actually not required so... well, it's puzzling.

my apologies if I have offended you. I hear what you are saying and I understand really, do. Maybe the devs like te models that way. Surely they have a right if anyone does to put something they want in the game. Bioware always try to look out for the fans, so why not look out for them? The breasts are big true but not ridiculously massive. I understand you Anarya, I really do. I don't want you or any of the other ladies on here to think I'm just picking with any of you becomes I'm not.

That's not weird, it's what the default game provides. And given it's also available on xbox and PS3 which don't have the mods, that's all the major part of the playerbase gets.Sejborg wrote...

They did it cause of cutszenes. A Dwarfen arm should be able to reach the Bookshelv (or whatever) as well as the human arm. If they would have had different ArmLENGHT the Characters should have been positioned differently and so on. Tis means they would have needed to make every Cutszene for every race.
It got confirmed though that this will be the case for DA 2. Well, not exactly, since u cant play a dwarf anymore, but it will be done for female Hawk.

I don't think you're picking on me at all. You're allowed to have your own opinion on the subject.
@tmp: Huh. Again, interesting and kinda weird. So that's why elves have giant man hands. The whole body model and armor systems seem set up in a weird and impractical way from my very technically impaired point of view.

I know. I have the game for my PS3. And I have different shapes of light armor. Some show the belly, some don't, some show a little of the chest, and some don't. That's what I got in my ps3 version.

Or perhaps it is not the Planet Earth they live on, but some other place, where it's normal for females to have huge bazunkas. Ever thought of that?
