I agree that immersion is vital for a RPG. But I don't think boobs is the biggest problem. It is weird how much time gamers is using to make their avatars look like a Hollywood movie. I do so myself. complaining that there is not enough haircuts. My self included. People running around looking like a movie star didn't seem to be proplem then. And we still want our Avatars to look like Monica Belucci, Viggo Mortenson or someone else pretty.

Sure Monica Belucci wouldn't last long in a fight, but tell me one female who would? Are we to simply remove the female party member, because when all is said and done, no one really believes a female to be as strong, as the warden? Heck I don't even believe a man to be as strong as the warden. That is simple
unbelievable. If it was to a be a tiny bit believable, you would have ridicously ugly characters, with scars all over, wounds with infection and then we would have to wave our Hollywood avatars goodbye. 

I prefer the fantasy where the men look like Viggo, and the women look like Monica. When all that is said and done, I would like if there where different body shapes. But we know Bioware won't do that, so therefore they are making it possible for us to make our Hollywood avatars. And besides, not all NPC's will look like Beth in her chain corset. Just look how she looks in her blue mage robe:

While we're at it, should she be a pleasurebot for all men? I mean, she clearly doesn't belong there anyway, and any semblance of reality is laughable at best, because girls can't fight! So bring on the fanservice, women are there for our enjoyment! You're not saying that, but there's a difference between what we are willing to accept that breaks reality and still makes sense (ergo, willing suspension of disbelief) and what we are not.

I'll say it again: the mere existence of threads like these should tell you how much this bothers people and how it isn't the tiniest non-issue we can think of.

Also, I checked over all the shots we have of Bethany in that robe, and none of them are very good.

I like you and I am a bit with you but I just don't care about boobs the way women and men do so I am ok with big or small all I want is the game to be fun and have a good story .

I don't have to excuse anything. I am not making the game. But I like Bethanys design. Sure the boobs don't make sense, but a lot of things don't make sense. I understand that you are a bunch of people who don't like the female default body shape, but then again I bet there is a lot of people who like it. And there will be even more who dont really care about the size. 

And no. I don't think women should be excluded from games. I mostly play a female avatar myself.

Sejborg is ignorant. There were a lot of female warriors during course of history. Although usually they didn't have big breasts, due to the fact that most of breast tissue consist of fat and active lifestyle doesn't really helps increasing amount of fat in the body... Of course hormones play a big role here, but still.

I think Sejborg needs to find a female soldier and tell her about his believes. I just love it, when girl severely beats a guy. Well, some other guy, not me, of course...

Your opinion is not fact. That said, no one is against some characters having large breasts. All characters having large breasts is what I'm personally against. Why? It's honestly not realistic, nor does it really say anything positive about how Bioware could view their male and female demograph.

Regardless of whether or not you're all 'BIG BEWBS! SEXAH!" does not means everyone is going to be like that, women in particular. Why? It's hard for some of us to immerse ourselves in a respectable female character who is meant to be some heroic icon, fierce and worthy of note, only to have some unrealistic eye-candy slapped on her chest that we really won't enjoy. Regardless of whether or not it was the designer's intention, if it turns out Lady Hawke will have a chest as large as Bethany, it will feel like that they weren't thinking about the female player. Instead, it will feel like they were thinking about the men who prefer to play as women.

I don't agree they're not realistic, women have boobs at Bethany's size they are within normal bounds, yet large. Having all characters like that is different but again it wouldn't need an excuse.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to respectfully, and completely disagree with there. There is no suspension of disbelief that women are capable of fighting. Women can be fighters and warriors.

Of course they can, but only effective when fighting other females.

But I also dissagree with Sejborg. Even if we are to believe that females are as strong and whatnot as males in the DA universe, those huge balloons would still get in the way, give Fedor Emelianenko or Brock Lesnar a pair of Huuge boobs and see if they can be nearly as effective with those things jiggling about and getting in the way (scaled to their bodies as Bethany's is to hers, would take like Double H's or something).

There has to be a middle ground, I mean sure, why not have huge Bethany breasts on a few characters, but female warriors should be built like female warriors and not like pornstars. Huge breasts should be relatively rare as natural boobs don't get that big on women too often.

On the most part? No. When was the last time you saw a genuinely athletic women, such as a swimmer or a gymnast, with large breasts? If you are constantly active, constantly working out - which presumably both Hawkes will be doing - the fat in the breasts gets used up. No more big breasts.

So, yes, for me, it is a bit game breaking to have every. single. female with large breasts. Particularly those who are warriors and rogues.

And you avoid this nifty thing:

Okay. How many females do you think can take down... say Mike Tyson? If the Warden was real do you think Tyson would stand a chance against such a maniac? Somebody mentioned reality, and I tried to point out that Dragon Age is not reality.

I think you should find some stairs to fall down from. I just love when people fall down the stairs. Not me though or anyone else. Just you.
