Would you be ok with guy oriented eye-candy if there were more for women?

I know. I have the game for my PS3. And I have different shapes of light armor. Some show the belly, some don't, some show a little of the chest, and some don't. That's what I got in my ps3 version. :)

They all use the same, single mesh though so the shapes really aren't different Posted Image  There's Dalish armour which shows bare midriff in addition to the exposed chest, and other variants either cover the arms/legs or don't, but as far as i know there's no female light armour in default game that covers the chest similar to how the male version does it, all variants expose it in very similar manner. If your game has one that doesn't, i'd be curious which armour is that.

Hmm. Now that you mention it again, I am not really sure if there really is a female light armor that covers all of the stomach. :? Maybe I have been mistaken.

At any rate, I personally don't think that the light armors in Origins where too revealing. But hey. I like Beths new outfit, so I would propably not think Origins light armors where too sexy. ^_^

I, too, work out often. My breasts are smaller than they would have been if I didn't.

No chainmail bikins doesn't mean that I should stop being bothered by the portrayal of women in video games. And if I'm really bothered by it I should just shut up and become and Arcane Warrior? Really? Of course, how foolish of me, that sounds perfectly reasonable and fair.

I personally enjoyed the Dragon Age models. They actually had overweight models.

I don't care if you think muscles on a woman are gross. I want to play a female warrior who looks like that.

Now this is a proper character design, looking nice and believable. Add beheaded body of Conan the Barbarian on the right to complete the picture.

EhhNot attractive at all sorry, Bethany and fem hawke can look like this but i'd prefer they keep the Man Arms and face off LI

See? That's the problem. You dislike it just because it's unattractive in your opinion. This is a realistic portrayal of a muscular woman. If you've seen female boxers or martial artist, you know that anyone gets pretty buff when they're doing a lot of fighting. I'm not saying that everyone should look like this, but I think that if more women in video games did, female players would feel less insulted by the large amount of characters with large boobs.

That would make nice base for female Hawke armour. has the same thing going with one arm exposed like male Hawke does, would just need some extra bits here and there.

I like it very much. Especially the defined muscles in the arm. For an female Warrior that is. :)

I too like this type of avatar.  The arms are definitely defined and all her characteristics match up pretty well.

Hawke is rising up to seize power, most likely by brutal force if the title Champion of Kirkwall is anything to go by.  And what of the mother who, too, has large breasts that should be sagging but aren't?

And we don't mind breasts. Really, we don't. We don't mind large breasts either. But a lot do mind when every woman seems to have them, regardless of lifestyle and how active they are in life.

Regardless, I didn't say all women would agree with me. I said that I doubt I was alone in feeling that all women having large breasts is unrealistic, and that people would be disappointed if Lady Hawke carried the same genes as Bethany.. If this topic, and the former "This Thread is About Boobs" topic is anything to go by, then I wasn't exaggerating my assumption.

I'm inclined to agree that women in DA2 should have some sort of normal distribution on their breast size, this is what is pretty much happening in real world anyhow. However, Bethany herself was targeted (not by you) for her "gigantic" (lol) boobs tho and I think it's fair to have some large-boob women in game, they're not abominations to need an excuse, quite the contrary I may add.

Since your problem is mainly with femHawke, I think the reasonable thing to say is make Hawke customizable, game's not out yet ,they have time to make minor changes in the engine, and more option always keeps everyone happy.

tap out? then this would be submission wrestling, not wrestling. Iirc greco-roman & freestyle wrestling doesn't have a women's division in the olympics.

In any case, there's a reason why women and men don't fight together in boxing, wrestling and mma, even if their weight is the same. It's not that women can't physically fight but in a bare hands fight they are at disadvantage against a man of the same weight who is as trained. Of course none of this really matters in "war" (eg in a 4 person squad where people are armored and can use magic) because weapons & tactics phase much of this out.

There ARE physical differences between man and woman. And Anyone claiming that Woman are in generell as physically strainable as man simply denie the facts. I give u that.
But that doesnt mean there is no use for females on a battlefield if there are man on it. Hand a woman a bow and some arrowd and she can kill as easly as any man. Or train her to use weapons that are made for exploiting weakpoints of armor. (Rapiers, Daggers, Poisoned Blades of all kind etc)
Bascially all kind of warfare were raw strenght and stamina doesnt count as much. And ye, i am pretty sure there are lots of this kind of weapons/ fightingstyles that support that kind of warfare.

A male warrior vs a female one, male wins every time. Everyone knows this <.<..

Well, you don't sound sexist at all.

I can't say anything about grappling as I try to avoid it - Yes, I acknowledge that I would be at a (admittedly large) disadvantage - but it's a different story when it's straight on fighting. I fight men. Often. In fact, I prefer fighting men as opposed to women. Why? Because, truthfully, yes, men will underestimate me and they do.

And then they end up with some busted ribs and a busted jaw, and wonder what happened.

Men do not automatically win, not if the women they are fighting are trained properly and know how to play up their advantages.

Women fighters can be like the Spanish Inquisition like that.

I was just pointing out the flaw in your generalized statement.  IRL men are generally physically stronger than women, and yes, will more often then not win in a hand to hand match based on strength.  However, I believe that most combat is not necessarily based on brawn, but brains.  Using an individual's strengths (not necessarily physcial attributes) and better combat tactics will generally win the fight, especially in a fantasy setting like DA where magic exists and archers have unlimited ammo.  This is, of course, providing that the female character's oversized breasts don't get in the way.Posted Image

Not sexist, realist. Which you don't seem to be. Once again, a trained male fighter wins against the trained female one 10/10 times. If you won't accept that, it's your problem, and calling me names for not thinking the way you do (as you are wrong) is just childish.

Flexibility can be a huge bonus in fights, which is one thing women seem to have over men. So can speed, which isn't really unbalanced for either gender, so female warriors just have to train to be faster than the guys.

I think Sejborg needs to find a female soldier and tell her about his believes. I just love it, when girl severely beats a guy. Well, some other guy, not me, of course...

Okay. How many females do you think can take down... say Mike Tyson? If the Warden was real do you think Tyson would stand a chance against such a maniac? Somebody mentioned reality, and I tried to point out that Dragon Age is not reality.

I think you should find some stairs to fall down from. I just love when people fall down the stairs. Not me though or anyone else. Just you.

edited a lot of spelling errors.

I usually avoid stairs - THEY sent them, didn't they? They onto me!

The point is, there were and there are female warriors. So this doesn't feel unreal. Now, the way DA portrays them may look unreal, but that's another thing.

Hm. Speaking of Tyson - is he allowed to use a sword? AK-47? A mace? Because hand-to-hand combat is a bit different...

They send a lot of stairs. Believe me.

And also you are starting to get the point I tried to make. If the female warriors should be believable as the Grey Warden, they would not look female at all. And I doubt anyone would want that. As I said, I prefere a Monica Belucci lookalike to kick ass, instead of some "shehulk". Even though it is unrealistic. Keep the Hollywood look I say.

Men do not automatically win, not if the women they are fighting are trained properly and know how to play up their advantages.

Women fighters can be like the Spanish Inquisition like that.

Not sexist, realist. Which you don't seem to be. Once again, a trained male fighter wins against the trained female one 10/10 times. If you won't accept that, it's your problem, and calling me names for not thinking the way you do (as you are wrong) is just childish.

I like to think I am good at taekowdo and I have lost to women  :innocent:.
