Would you be ok with guy oriented eye-candy if there were more for women?

Do you know why it's really stupid to mention an exception to the rule as an argument against MMA beating specialized fighters? It's because I never said a specialized fighter couldn't ever beat an MMA fighter but rather stated that in general MMA fighters tend to be vastly superior. In order for your ''well this one time'' argument to actually make any sense you'd have to misinterpret me gravely to the point off being guilty of strawmanning but somehow I don't think you missinterpreted me I think you just think that you can justify your own fantasies about specialized fighters being superior too MMA fighters by doing nothing more than mentioning one instance in which your beliefs were true.  Either way you fail or troll.

Oh and btw it's due to biology not stereotypes that  men  are more aggressive and competitive and I suggest you don't even get me started on it.

2 things.

1)get off your high horse.

2)it most certainly isn't do to biology that men are more aggressive than women. In fact, men aren''t more aggressive than women. That's gibberish.

What happened to these boards during my nap? Did every stupid male inspired stereotype decide to make its way onto the boards?

Yeah thanks man, exactly why am I a stupid male stereotype? Admittedly I wrote arrogant in an tone, but it's very annoying with people who will just post their own opinions without doing any research, like you. Fyi men are more aggressive than women I suggest you actually read up on the subject, you could start with the fact that in history approximately 80% of all women have reproduced with the respective number for men being 40%. That means we are descended from twice as many women as men, now stop and think for a bit what this implies, think about which sex has everything to gain from playing it safe and which has to compete for a chance at reproducing. Then you can go and look up some essays on the subject.

If you still don't think men are more aggresive then I succumb. Some people are just blinded by the present zeitgeist.

Edit: Here, this is a good essay on the subject: http://www.psy.fsu.e...oodaboutmen.htm
that and the wiki article on gender differences should suffice. I'm going to sleep now but feel free to reply as I will check in tommorow  morning.

No evidence to support this apart from 4-5 forum posts, you can't really extrapolate this. In contrast to size being out there or not, this is not an observation, it's an opinion and everyone has his own. To back this up you need a sample large enough to extrapolate.

Not exactly the best picture, but it seems very apparent to me Flemeth has her own character model.

I'm just going to keep posing this question until someone can counter this argument effectively:

Do you dislike (and that is all I'm asking, not what you like more) characters with average breasts?

If you do not, why can't you see that having average sized figures is not a bad thing? Surely some of you liked either Tali, Morrigan, Leliana, Ashley, Jack, or Miranda? Miranda's breasts were large, but not as big as what we're seeing on Bethany, and definitely would be an improvement over that.

I bet you have liked female love interests, despite having average or non-gargantuan-sized chests. Your ability to enjoy the game is not diminished.

It is however, diminished for girls.

Everyone wins with women having reasonable figures. You guys can certainly get your eye-candy and fanservice, and women are happy with their character avatars.

Keep in mind that if Bethany's model is limited to a few characters, even love interests, that's fine. But not for every woman in Thedas.

It seems to me guys on the other side rarely acknowledge this argument with anything cohesive. So I'm asking it again (again).

This is pretty much what it boils down to. I see nothing but selfishness (even with logical or sane reasons) in asking for something else. This pleases everyone.

Can we get better guy models that are small and not as wide too .

So I just checked out that picture of Bethany in the chainmail/robe get-up. I assume that's the picture we're talking about with regard to her breasts? Yes, they are too big, but I don't mind too much, so long as Lady Hawke doesn't have the same body model. I will be rather upset if she does, as I have no wish to play a woman who is that plastic and top-heavy. I will also be rather upset if the majority of body models are that busty as it represents, to me, an unrealistic expectation of the female form. Yes, I know this is a fantasy game, but I would hope that the devs would keep the feelings of the female gamers in mind. The gaming world seems too saturated with boobs as is. Busty Lady Hawke? No. Just no.

why should we cater games to a small minority of whining, oversensitive women

I'm fine with any bust size bethany can have

Okay, so let's say that male body models had a huge wart on their head, just above the left eye, and there was nothing you could do to make it smaller or change it in any way.  The entire time you were interracting with others in-game, that huge wart on your face would drag your attention away from the action and just irritate the hell out of you.  Granted, it's just a physical attribute, but you find that it limits your immersion in the game and upsets you because it's not what you'd like your character to look like.

Well, then let's talk about what we arguing in this thread want, and guess what I'm still right. You can't prove that men don't want large boobs, can you? Thus everything you say is invalidated since you can't possibly survey every man playing DAO and gather an opinion on the matter.

So might Bethany and your mom (er, Hawke's), as far as I know we don't know yet whether they've changed companions' inventories to have their own special armors or whether they've otherwise changed it to allow for unique body models per character.

Yeah, looks more like a custom model rather than one universal one.

I'm a guy and i like small breasts. Huge breasts just look unnatural unless the rest of the body is proportionate to them. If all females go around poking eyes out i wouldn't be able to take the game seriously and that would totally break it for me.

sorry, Im not shallow and do not whine about physical attributes. A character is a character, physical apperance is secondary to what he or she does, intelligence, problem solving skills, and teamwork.

I wouldnt care if a male protagonist had a large wart on their head? yes its distracting, but why should I go whine and complain about such a miniscule part of a character.

"awww boo hoo" I want to look like sepirothxxxx but the evil bioware wont do anything for me. Men who desire this, do not go whine and complain, but rather use toolset to create anything they want

Flemeth appears to be in the main antagonist, as well as having an outfit and head no one is going to be able to have. I'd say she is far more likely to have her own character model.

Remember, this is all based on Bethany having the same character model as all women. If it isn't true, whatever, I'm good with it.

Hey guys, looking at that pic, I've just thought of a GROUND BREAKING THEORY.

Flemeth is OBVIOUSLY Hawke and Bethany's real mom, hence why she has any interest in dealing with Hawke and having him send a package in the first place. Her plan is to make Hawke stronger, make him becoming King of Thedas (Kirkvall, Fereldan or whatever) and then manipulate the throne!

She also seems to be much more muscular, but we seem to be ignoring all differences when it helps us make assumptions otherwise...

Why such issues with the bust size? Men have also a totally unreal musculature in the game yet no male complains about it, as Stanley woo said in page one they're just idealized figuires, no big deal.

I never tried to prove that the majority of men like/don't like large boobs, just sayin that Beth's boobs are normal, yet large and don't have anything wrong with them, quite the contrary. They're fine as they are and devs must have put some thought into this design direction :D.

No but not all women have them just like how not all men are tall =].
