Would you be ok with guy oriented eye-candy if there were more for women?

I love boobs, but quality of personality is far more important, give me a flat chested woman with personality that can challenge my pre-conceptions and philosophies any day, rather than over sized bimbo.

You're a better man than me, sir. *salutes*

Actually he contributes to boobs being king as much as you. Get a collection of people who value personality more, their tastes will be more or less evenly distributed among the girls in question, so you can safely average that out.

what are we left with? boobs!

No, personality is king to my mind, in my experience the pretty girls with big boobs never developed a personality.

Sexy to me equates a mind with a personality & philosophcal leaning behind it, funnily enough sex is better with someone you feel an inttellectual & common connection unto, rather than someone with a body that meets your primal instincts, I still love boobs though.

For one you're assuming boobs are correlated with personality and they probably aren't. Big boobs doesn't imply neither rich nor shallow personality.

Now if we get 100 guys that care *mostly* about personality and very secondarily about boobs, and choose e.g. from 5 women, they're going to have different personality tastes and assuming the 5 women were chosen at random, the personality factor gets phased out. Boobs on the other hand stays king.

What I'm trying to say is that since boobs are uncorrelated to personality, if you gather enough people who care mostly about personality, boobs still win not because personality is unimportant but because each of these personality persons will have different personality tastes. It's commonly referred to as averaging out.

depends

I disagree. Freckles are always awesome.

Especially if they come with pigtails and overalls.

I've seen women that looked great with freckles and some that would be better off without, it's like saying "is red hair cool?", my reply is it depends.

Exactly the problem. :P

I don't see it that way because something isn't inherently bad for being "unnatural,"  including with regards to how both sexes enhance their appearances.

Appearance-wise they're ok, however the problem with enhanced boobs is not how they look but let's not talk more about this.

I don't really think I AM taking away your right to care about the females' appearances. I already said I don't care if SOME women in the game have enormous boobs, I just don't want that to be the default. Are you so selfish that you require every woman in-game to conform to your ideal? No I believe you've already stated the opposite, in fact.

But if we are debating about the default female body model/PC's body model then i believe I have more right to see my wants implemented than you do, in this one case. As a female playing a female, I think my comfort should override your want for sex appeal, in the case of the PC's default female body.

No, we're cool. At least for my part. I say either options or custom designed models. Th cookie cutter copy paste model thing is awful.

I completely agree with you.  Plus, people have a jaded perception about what "natural" really is.  All the girls that anyone sees in the media have all been caked with makeup and/or photoshopped to "perfection."  Guys say they want natural, but they want their natural to come without inconvenient body hair, with perfect complexion, and without cellulite, just like the pictures in the magazines.  :)

But in the post I responded to, you paired having freckles with being "mousy," and while you say you are ambivalent about freckles, the adjective "mousy" is pretty much always seen as negative, at least in my experience.

Christ, forget I mentioned freckles. I was trying to convey an average looking woman. Nothing wrong with freckles.

I still maintain that Bethany, sister to the main protagonist, must be idealized.

I think we can all agree that boobs are awesome. But is bigger always better? Obviously not, or we'd just be playing 2 boobs that run around stabbing people. At what point do they just become distracting?

To me, Bethany's are that. To someone else? I'm sure a lot of people think that she's too flat chested, and want more.

I wouldn't care if all the women in Thedas looked like that, but it just sucks that my little Hawke has to as well.

Ok, obviously the utility curve is not linear, I'd say it even drops for pathological sizes but within reason I'm inclined to say bigger = better.

Boobs and personality are not proportional either way, however having an endowed primary, physical & sexual characteristic can lead to no pressure for an attractive secondary characteristic such as intellect for some to develop as the primary characterisitic in some cases may suffice for purposes of attracting a partner.

Why would personality be ruled out if you only had 5 choices, perhaps among 500 men, yes, but given the state of the average conditioned male, that's not a demographic I would wish to associate myself with.

Averaging out is incompatible with personal preference or personal experience, remember some guys like small or no boobs too!

No, you didn't answer my question. :D

Do you dislike characters for having average, or, say, C-cup breasts? Are they instantly unattractive to you? Take Megan Fox, for example, since I know she has a special place in your heart. :P

My point was, guys are completely capable of finding features on a women attractive (looks or personality) that are not tied to looking like a few ribs are missing and that having intense back problems. Average sized breasts, and everyone wins--women are pleased by their character models and men can certainly find their love interests beautiful.

On the other hand, some men really dislike large, unnatural looking breasts on every female, almost all women do, and the only bonus is a slight cosmetic one tied to game renown for its story.

Not ruled out, averaged out. No type of personality is preferable by a measurable margin.

For one person yes, for many no.

The Boob argument is getting old and it's the same people bringing it from thread to thread, you're just kicking a dead horse.

I'd actually like to see sexier female outfits in this game. Bioware doesn't have to make it the default armor for anyone but at least throw something skimpy in that you can find and equip. I doub't it will happen but hey that's what the forums are for, ideas.

This thread is like one on going joke: Oh Bioware you let me down your outfits are too revealing. That has to be a joke, play some other rpgs or action games then come back, then you'll see that Bioware's "revealing oufits" aren't so revealing compared to the rest of the games released in the last decade. Perfect example: The Heroine in Hunted (The new action-rpg that's right around the corner) Now those are chainmail bikinis and revealing oufits.
