@Tazzmission

It isn't about being happy/sad. It is about not expecting much from someone who has promised a lot but only delievered a little. I do not want to run through the list of things Bioware has promised for the ME trilogy but have yet to deliever or has delievered but in a lousy half assed way.

Also I am not trashing this DLC as I believe it will be the best DLC to date in terms of story. I am just saying that I am not expecting it to be anything over 2 hours. I believe it will follow the same format that Overlord had in which you are summoned to a planet (Illium), meet with the person that will tell you about your mission (Liara), explore other locations leading up to the final act (With Liara), and then head into the final confrontation (The Shadow Broker).

Lair of the Shadow Broker can EASILY be 2 hours just like Overlord. I think it is less about me being pessimistic but more of everyone else being too optimistic and wanting to believe something that they know might not be true.

Shadow Broker's supposed to be a real bad m-fer so I expect this to rock, and hopefully be several planets.

If not, oh well- hey, and maybe Liara could become recruitable again!

I think Bioware has done a great job on the DLC for ME2. I loved Stolen Memories and Overlord. For ME1 on the other hand, Pinnacle Station was forgettable, but I did like BDtS.

ME2 has an improved track record and as long as they keep adding content then I am Content.

The shadow broker is really a giant floating head. When you do the renegade interrupt you pull a curtain back and you notice dwarf from DA:O. King Behlen has expanded his empire.

just my guess.

It comes out on the 7th of september. It is the largest DLC so far for ME2 according to the Devs

SPOILER-

Javier and I even did some voice acting for it.

And you didn't invite me over? For shame, Prince.

Sorry, but even if I did it'd of done no good.

I previously contacted Bioware about doing voice overs. Guess that's why I got the message.

Isn't the pricing set by Microsoft, based on size of the DLC? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. If true, then it would have to be larger than Overlord and Kasumi. I'm guessing 3-4 hours game play.

Really overlord was only 1 1/2 hrs? With all the scares I thought it was longer! I loved Overlord please make more metal horror ones for 2 and 3! Also I hope Liara's download will be as cool as overlord was!

This is my first VA role. And I'm not spoiling who I voiced.

I'm a male, if you couldn't tell yet.

There isn't exactly an LPPrincess running around.

Either this is just some joke that I'm not getting, or you people literally believe that he and javier did VOs for this DLC?

If someone runs around saying they did something...I have no reason not to believe them...unless proven by someone else to believe otherwise...LPPrince voice acting for Mass Effect doesnt exactly have any impact on my life...So I tend not to care enough to bother debating whether its BS or not.

I highly doubt it, because MS has no say over the pricing of the DLC for the PC version, and the PC version costs the same amount as the 360 version.  It's possible that MS set the price of the 360 version and EA priced the PC version accordingly, but I'd be skeptical of that.

Ahh, its good to be late to a party sometimes --- I can just download Overlord w/ the new DLC and I'll have 2 DLC's to go through.

Sometimes it pays to be the turtle in the race lol.

Exactly. I too have not gotten Overlord yet. I'm going to get Overlord, the Firepower Pack, and Lair of the Shadow Broker next Tuesday.

Though I should probably get Overlord and the Firepower pack ahead of time so I don't end up trying to download them all at the same time.

OT: I agree that it will probably not be much longer than existing DLCs, but the story will probably be better, more meaningful, and more interesting.

At the end of the day, 800MS points instead of 560, has to count for something...whether it be length...or something else.

2 Hours

Don't get too excited. It is only big because it features Liara a returning character from ME1 and the Shadow Broker. Expect the same 2 hour style gameplay like what we got in Overlord.

No, you don't quite get it. Take off your pesimistic hat and listen. Megabyte for megabyte it's the largest DLC they've done. Just wait a week and then you can talk all about it once you've played it

Is there any info on how big the file is? If it is clearly over 1 gigabyte it's probably quite a lot longer but then again that brings the problem of taking so much storage. Then again the possible romance dialogue probably takes quite a bit of room

With this little info I have to agree with Jazz. Liara and Shadow Broker as names will sell the 240 extra points for many

He's not going to say.  If he very well did VOs, he would have signed a NDA not to reveal details about anything until the DLC is released.

The guy's a joker, but he's been around here for a long time, and if he said repeatedly that he did voicework for this game with Javier, then I believe him.

Exactly! and just like kalle90 said, the names of Liara (ME1 Party Member and LI) alongside Shadow Broker (Entity that had a substantial effect in ME1 and even before ME2) are enough alone to warrent the extra charge of 240 MS Points.

That is capitalism for you.

I posted this in the other thread but no one seems to know.

Has it been confirmed when we can activate the LotS storyline? It doesn't have to be after the suicide mission, does it? Man I hope not.
