Since Oblivion and Two Worlds each had horses, would you have wanted them in Dragon Age as well?
Do you miss horses?

Seeing how they have never been used in past Bioware game, I will have to go ahead and say no.

Probably not. I don't think a horse would last long with Darkspawn nearby.

No. They gryphons ate them. I'd much prefer they have the gryphons.

No, I wont. The only game I really enjoyed horses was Mount and blade

No. Doesn't seem that important... It was fun in Oblivion, but... Oblivion wasn't really all that great to me and having horses didn't make it up for the lack of story and characters IMHO.

The only games in which I liked horses/mounts are the Zelda games and a couple MMO's. They aren't even remotely needed in a game like DA:O.

I cant' wait for Red Dead Redemption.. Hopefully that'll give people better ideas on how to use horses in a more realistic, better implemented sense. The problem so far has been that horses have been rather useless other than using them as pack mules.

They were sort of interesting to have in Oblivion, but I only ever really used them for one character. So no, I don't think I'll miss it. And that's the only game I've ever played that had horses. (Of course, I'm largely indifferent to horses in general, so that probably has something to do with it.)

And the increase in speed is always appreciated.

I like horses, but this game would be silly with them.

Horses were great fun in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, but those were an entirely different type of game to DAO.
I didn't find Oblivion's horses to be much use, apart from the Dark Brotherhood one they weren't particularly quick or hardy, and you had to dismount to fight or run away every time your horse was attacked. That, and it slowed the growth of your athletics skill.

Horses were only useful for traveling to undiscovered regions in Oblivion(except the unicorn you can ride, that thing kicks serious butts). Since DAO will not be using an open-ended world, nor is the entire world connected together, horses will be unnecessary.

The control for the horses are pretty bad. I rather not have one.

NO &%*$(*)(*& HORSES.....unless they make it to where ur horse can throw u ,kick u, or generally be a horse as in real life ( for those of u who've never ridden or spent time around horses u dont know how tempermental they can be) i dont want it in the game.....in Elder scrolls the horse could attack u if u hit it but other than that it stood there....i want ppl to be generally pissed when they walk up to the horse and it runs away or kicks them in the chest..... LOL sorry i had to rant, anyways no im fine without them

Nope. ^__^ In this type of game, horses would be pretty pointless.

I hold firm to the belief that horses are made solely for cutscenes.

I want to tame one of the small dragons and use as a party member/mount, but alas it will not happen.

I found the controls for horses in Oblivion to be rather annoying, as with most games. Not to mention I ALWAYS forget I have a horse and end up walking...or my horse walks away and abandons me...
So no, not missing them.

Not terribly, no. They were nice to have in Oblivion if you were going somewhere new, but once you were able to fast travel, they were kind of moot.

I wanted them in NWN, I wanted them in NWN2, and I still want them in DA.
If Bioware follows their history, they will have cows, pigs, dogs, and several other mundane animals, but no horses, mountable or otherwise. I suspect that maybe they don't have horses in Canada or something.
