Can't buy Golems DLC

So today I decided it was finally time to check the Golems DLC and it turns out I can't buy it.

I've got 640 BioWare points on my account, but when I try to buy the DLC through the in-game menu it gives me this message: "Sorry, your request could not be acompleted at this time. Please try again later."

I then tried to buy it through the official website. When I check the box accepting the terms of the contract and hit "Purchase", nothing happens.

Given I never had any issues with the previous DCL, is this just a temporary problem with their servers or is the issue on my side? I just find it a little ridiculous that their servers readily accepted my $5 purchase of BioWare points but won't let me spend them to get the DLC.

WOW...nice to know someone is having the exact same problem



I have downloaded all other DLC with ease but no matter what I did I could not buy the Golem DLC.



When I downloaded through the in-game menu it gave me "Sorry, your request could not be acompleted at this time. Please try again later."



So, I tried downloading from the bioware website. However when I have agreed the terms and clicked on the purchase button, the message "We are processing your request" comes out but then the page just refreshes and nothing happens.



I am guessing this is a problem with the DLC as I downloaded Leliana's Song on the same day with no issues.



If anyone has found a solution your help would be very much appreciated

Yah I am getting exactly what you are getting. It's pretty irritating because I bought BioWare points just for this DLC.

Maybe they temporairly made it unavailable for purchase given the authorisation and loading issues the rest of us have been having...?

Im having this problem also tried to download today keeps saying sorry unable to process your request, glad I am not the only one having this problem.



Hopefully they know of this and it will be fixed soon.

Ditto. Same problem for me. Trying to buy it for the PC. No previous problems with downloading DLC (Leliana's song, Ostagar, Shale, Soldiers Keep, or any of the ME DLC). I bought the points last night and tried last night and again this morning - no luck.



I was wondering if this might be a problem because I haven't installed the latest patch (I was worried that it might interfere with my mods). But it seems that the problem is more universal than that.

Ahhh EA answering beside the point....



I got an answer on how to recover failed downloads, along the lines of what can be found in the "Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ (PC Only) " sticky thread.



The problem is that we can't *spend* our points!



Hopefully EA will understand this time...

I have installed the 1.04 patch and still it's not working so doesn't seem like a problem with the patch. Also I need to mention that I just bought Leliana's Song earlier today and it worked fine, so it seems like the problem lies with the Golem DLC

yep, it just say for short time "processing request" and then that message "sorry..."

Yeah, no dice with firefox. will try to get back on a chat again.

I'm having the same issue. I reinstalled and updated Dragon Age and Awakening, then used IE, Firefox, Chrome, and the in-game purchasing options to no avail. I really hope this gets worked out.

Its problem with server who need make authorisation, cant be nothing other.

I find this dlc on torrents, download it and manual install with daoupdater but now this addon is unauthorized and when i try make authorization i get again "sorry..., try again later" because server dont whant accept my 400 ea points with or without dlc installed.



I try first buy dlc ingame like all other dlc's, then with few diffrent browsers on web, then i turn off Comodo FW but nothing dont help.

This looking same like in WoW when blizz have problems with log server; you can try type your user name and pass whole day but you will not pass util they fix it.

Just had a live chat with EA customer support. Between all the canned responses I managed to get something along the lines of:



"I just checked and this is a reported issue with this download. Our engineers are working to resolve this issue. There's no ETA."

did the problem just came up recently or has it been around since the release of the Golem DLC? Has anyone here installed the Golem DLC successfully?

I just got off of chat and got the same answer Selakah did. No ETA, but the technician said to give it 24-48 hours before contacting EA Help again.
