The following stats on items do not work, they do absolutely nothing and this is a long standing issue, will these stats ever be fixed?

Messy Kills
Healing Received
Interrupts Spellcasting
Increases Monetary Gain
Increases Hostility and Intimidation
Weakens Nearby Darkspawn
Radiates Cold
Lucky
Reduces Hostility

For Healing Received, you can use the following mod: Nukenin's +Healing Received Fix

Yeah its great the playerbase has stepped up to fix unfinished/buggy game mechanics but what about the other 7 stats that don't work?

Wait, "Increases Monetary Gain" and "Weakens Nearby Darkspawn" do nothing? Dammit, now what the heck was I wearing that dang Dwarven Merchant's Belt all those levels for...

Add "reduces hostility" to that list. They are unimplemented effects, but this hasn't stopped Bioware from adding them to new items in DLC. One has to wonder if they even know they don't work.

Yeah I forgot about that one, and I wonder the same thing. Why the hell would they put non-working stats on DLC items?

I can only think that it's one of these three things:  1.  BW intends to actually implement them in a future patch; 2. Placebo effect is hoped for (so somehow players will think things are better than they are) or 3.  Even within BW, the fact that these effects are not implemented is not well understood so n00b developers continue to set these parameters on DLC items.

I'd pick option 3.

I don't like the fact that BW basically does not want to give any information about any future patch(es). I'd like to see those stats fixed, too!

I'm buying the DLC tomorrow, and love Bioware, but this is absurd that the game has been out this long without these items work.

You're welcome to finish the sequel but please fix these issues as well...

The Dragon Age Simple Fixes mod solves several of these issues. Read the description for a complete list of fixes.

Nexus is in downtime now... grr

I'll definitely have to try it out. Did anyone had trouble with it and DLCs and expansions?

I don't think I'd use the word "solve" for what this mod does.  This mod introduces behavior for each of these effects using what mechanics are available to the mod author.  Although it is welcome to see these effects getting some attention, I'd hesitate to call it a "fix" since it is not possible to know how Bioware originally intended all of these effects to be implemented.

One has to wonder what happened after the expansion was released.  With the bizarre behavior and incompetence of Bioware's QA efforts, I almost suspect that they lost their entire bug database and had to spend a month building a new one.  This would explain why they don't address persistent issues and create DLC content featuring non-working content - lack of a comprehensive bug database (or experienced developers) could account for the level of ignorance they are currently showing.

Those should be now known issues...I hope they'll address them in an upcoming patch such as the one to fix Witch Hunt

If they don't know about them/acknowledge them they won't be fixed...ever.

There are more broken properties than listed here.

I wish there was a mod that fixed all the bugs but did not add tweaks/other mods and utilities. I just want the fixes. Please. Posted Image

There are community staff members here, aren't them handling info to the devs?

This is the tech help section after all, the place to start when you want to find bugs.

As you said, that patch is to fix issues with Witch Hunt.  To expect it to fix other stuff as well is futile.

If you read the pinned threads at the top of this forum, you will see that this forum is for seeking help from other members of the community.  Occasionally, a member like Nathan Willis will pop in to try to help people with issues, but after asking one or two questions they are never seen again.  Unfortunately, Bioware provides no support in these forums.  Their "community coordinators" do nothing but post announcements.  They do not respond.

Anyone posted a support ticket for this?

I'm going to.... at least they'll know what's broken.
