So, let me get this straight.
A wheel that allows you to choose dialog from a number of options we do not know of will suddenly be only Good Guy, Bad Guy or **** even though the system that was used on KoTOR revolved around the same thing (A couple bad guy options, a couple good guy options and a couple investigate options), but it will also make the game as linear as it can get just because of that?.
Can you explain how did you mind jump from dialogue wheel to complete linearity?
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 2 has the same level of linearity of other BioWare games, though it has smaller Hub Worlds.

Seriously guy, calm down, go do some research, and maybe grab a nice tall glass of milk.

Mass Effect 2 seemed more linear as it was mostly the story being added to flavor the gameplay more, not to mention more streamlined

Hey kid, u realize there are going to be the same amount of dialogue results. Notice that in origins, some questions lead to the same answer.
Still, you can pick dialogs that suite your personality.

1. I feel so bad about that elephant, its in a hole in the ground, that's horrifying.
2. Mass Effect is linear because it is a trilogy that has to have set materials to connect to each other. Dragon Age is different because we are dealing with different settings and protagonists, so such linearity isn't as needed as in Mass Effect. Don't know how the wheel fits in with a game being linear or not. Or do you mean the dialogue is sometimes the same no matter which option you pick? If that's the case, then just one option seems fine.
Bonus opinion: I like the look of the listed dialogue myself, but I don't see how the wheel suddenly changes how the entire game works. We can voice our concerns, but jumping to conclusions seems a bit over the top.

Well, yes. And there's also a new SANDAL IN DA2 topic.
People have run out of imagination, apparently.

The dialogue wheel, at least the way it functioned in Mass Effect, goes hand-in-hand with a voiced hero, whose lines can be longer than the text you see. If the writing is good, and we have no reason to believe that it won't, the matter of presentation doesn't make that big a deal, IMO. You don't have to agree with every design choice to enjoy their creation.
I like Diablo 3's dialogue wheel better...

FOR ALL YOU PPL, I saw a screenshot. There was a dialog wheel. THERE WERE 3 DIALOG OPTIONS IMO. Mass ****gotry redux?
You realize that some dialogues in DAO only gave you 3 options as well? You realize that just because that particular wheel had 3 options, it doesn't mean they are ALL limited to 3?
