Perhaps I should have clarified that, or used different wording. I actually can quite enjoy tsunderes. Unfortunately, Morrigan isn't one. She's just a bizznatch.Merlin Dawnweaver wrote...

Her shapeshifting's limited to animals, which may very well be the sort of thing you're into.
So.. if you're really desperate for variety, yay spider-lovings I suppose?

Though I certainly can't approve of the concept in real life or in fantasy - especially with spiders *shudder* - I do wonder why this sort of thing is always wondered about in games where we're able to senselessly murder dozens of people on a whim.

Admittly she does not wear a Fuku with Zettai Ryouiki, Morrigan spit some pretty typical type A tsundere lines in later stage of romance.
And if she proceed down the fire tree, she turns into a Shana / Lina Inverse type person of massive destructive potential - which are typically tsuntsuns.

That's just it, though. A tsundere is, at their heart, a vulnerable, multifaceted creature. They are always predictably angry, yes, but that hides a vulnerable, sweet girl within.Merlin Dawnweaver wrote...

Morrigan is just a quieter, more spiteful hag wrapped within a louder, more destructive hag. Her idea of opening up with you is asking you to kill her mother.

Good... point.
Although if there was bestiality in a game I bet Fox News would have a ball with covering the "perversion" and "animal abuse", even if it was actually a shapeshifter.

I can already see a cutscene in my head of some dark spawn creatures happening upon a seemingly abandoned infant. The swaddled babe red with tears and frustration as the hellish minions descend upon it as an ichor coated outstretched hand comes ever so close to the baby's face, the child's crying halts and gives way to a giggle. The camera pulls back as a huge spider descends on the darkspawn as the screen goes black...

This. This is what I think of this concept.
I may have to upgrade to the PC version from the 360 version specifically FOR this.

Have you finished the Morrigan's entire romance plot ? I think she never become completely sweet or mellow because her mission did not permit it. She is actually pretty kind to those who show her kindness, but not used to being shown kindness at all. Keep in mind she's raised by the

Except for the whole killing her mother thing, and then spawning a godchild so she can kill it and eat it to gain its power. We wouldn't be playing DLC named Witchhunt if she were just being a happy, kind mother.Merlin Dawnweaver wrote...

We don't know about her plan until we played the DLC through.
Killing her mother was perfectly understandable. if you were raised by something that monstrous, well you would probably kill it too.

Also, I don't think she is going to eat the baby. Its just nice to have power over an old god.

I do, indeed, have a terrible fear of things being out of chronological order. One minute, I'm sitting here typing on the forums, the next.... Victorian England. Not pretty.
To me, the whole "matricide" thing looked like a case of Morrigan doing exactly what Flemeth had taught her to do. Survival of the fittest and all that jazz... not that it wasn't kinda evil on both their parts.

TBH I love Morrigan but an actual game over her? Nah, either people will choose responses she wouldn't use or it removes the mystery surrounding her. I prefer her to have either a major role or DLC's

Complete all your dialogue with her or take her into the Circle Tower. You can see in the Fade that she has been severely abused and tormented by her mother from childhood. At least explore all of the dialogue options, She is in truth a very vulnerable, very sweet girl who has been corrupted from having an abusive abomination as a mother and living by herself in the most lethal location in all of Ferelden.Faceless Minion wrote...

Eh. "I was abused as a child" is up there with "I was raped as a child" and "my parents are dead" as excuses to turn characters brittle. And though Bioware is normally wonderful with using basic tropes and making them work, it just doesn't seem to jibe with her. If it does for you, then I'm happy for you... To me, it just fell quite horribly flat, and didn't add anything to the character that didn't seem false and tacked-on.Oblivious wrote...

The Warden: I will always protect you.
Morrigan: I... you should not be so... you have no idea what might happen in the days to come, to make such promises...
Well, that might work slightly better then a scrolling shooter controlling Morrigan in dragon form.
